Ya'll soft. Alliance chat is hilarious to watch. I love group drama. I fuel it on too lol, by making some obviously fake statements or agreeing with a side or something :D

Realise that the game is so drama proof, I need an outlet somewhere.

FFXI: HNM chat, RDM melee chat, Refresh Cycle chat
    WoW: LFR (pre-personal loot patch)
League of Legends: Any game mode
FFXIV: town chat is rather tame, but thank youuuu 24 man raids -- I wished they open tp 24/72 man shout chat in PvP, that'd be some serious fun

Yeah that's cool if you're a man baby I guess, I'd rather move on with my night and do something productive once I'm done with the casual shit show. So far I've done void ark twice, mhach once and I probably will only run dun once. Can't be bothered to do that shit if I'm going to log into this game off raid days.

As a little baby tank.. attempting big pulls would scare me to death, because I don't know if I could handle it.

Now as a somewhat experienced tank, I don't like attempting big pulls because I'm know I'm going to die.

Has been the case so far.

Also running into lots and lots of healers gambling with my health so they can DPS. I've died quite a bit because healer keeping my health below 30%. I ain't gonna bother using Living Dead, because I'll just die to Walking Dead anyway. Honestly, I've died in pulls that are uncommon to die to. I used to think, is it me? But I throw up all my CDs, go in at full health, pop BP and spam Unleash and Abyssal Drain, smack them with Dark Passenger for good measure, because dammit, these things need to die fast BEFORE I DIE.

Seriously, it is not difficult to DPS for awhile, WHILE having the tank above 60%. I do it..all the time. :/. Especially on WHM. The class is so OP on heals, I abuse every one of them and then Stone III practically forever. Tank ain't got no worries, heh they go nuts on pulls because they know I got them. If they get too low, it's because Cleric Stances' forever 5 sec cooldown when a big unexpected series of crits happen. I mean it feels like forever when you NEED to turn it off in a pinch.

Unfortunately, as a tank, I've yet to know how that feels. -.- When I pull, I feel Death himself waving his scythe at me, saying "SOON".

Conclusion: I don't trust healers when I tank. If shit gets out of control or a dumbass per second pulls a group I purposely didn't get for a reason, I know we'll wipe.

Also rage quitters. Fuck those people.

Edit: Obvious inexperienced healers(those usually not synced), I don't have any fears of, I just take it easy, and if we wipe, it's no biggy. It's the ones that outclass even my WHM(i223) in gear that worry me.

Edit2: As for ingame drama - If I make a mistake, I explain and apologize. For gamers though, this method of reasoning just makes them say more stupid shit. That being said, I say my piece and nothing else. Yeah, watching drama from outside can be entertaining, but I'm also thinking these are all people that should know better.

A lot of healers don't know/don't use the ultimate regen wombo comos. A lot of tanks won't stand in my fucking bubble when I'm setting it up on AST too. Like the bubble is poison or something.

not to nit pick or so, but some tanks make unnecessary big pulls when you dont have the AoE DPS to finish them quickly. makeing it hard for healers to DPS.

Might well throw in the people who don't AoE big packs and the tank continues to pull in big packs lol

I should say, that wasn't a "all healers suck" rant. Don't get me wrong, 2 straight years of WHM and I got a lot of stories to tell about shit tanks, and even stupid DPS. My favorite tanks are always the undergeared ones trying to pull the whole dungeon.

Anyway, I think I'm experiencing what a lot of tanks fuss about: Long strings of bad healers. I can see how that can make them not want to tank..

I definitely don't try to over pull. So far in the Vault though where big ass pulls are hard to avoid, I've gotten the Blizzard II Ice Mages. Kind of funny actually.

I think my favorite are tanks, having wiped twice on big pulls because the healer for whatever reason (undergeared, inexperienced, flat-out stupid, etc.) is not capable of handling them, continue to do big pulls, and then act shocked when I start giving them hell for it. Just shut up and do small pulls so we can get out of here.

Obligatory complaint: Sephirot's Ain, Zurvan's Wave Cannon, Gowrow's Flamethrower, Scathach's/Diabolos Hollow's Shadethrust. What do all these have in common? They're all line AoEs that involve a boss suddenly turning away from whatever s/he was doing and staring directly at you for an extended period of time, sometimes with a slow cast bar. And yet the number of people getting wrecked by them boggles the mind. I don't care if you've never played an MMO before; the concept of "this big scary mob is suddenly looking directly at me" (and sometimes obviously charging up something) should immediately prompt "perhaps I should move now" as a matter of common sense. "But there's no AoE indicator on the floor!" "Well, son, back in my day there were no AoE indicators on floors ever."

(Shadethrust gets a partial pass, because A) it's significantly faster than the others, and B) depending on how many melee are swarming the boss, it's sometimes hard to see which way s/he's turned.)

does a pull like this even exist in the last few dungeon rotations? Healer AoE DPS itself is reason enough not to stagger

like the expert I had today where we damn near wiped on lava scorpion because the other DPS was at the minimum possible ilvl. :/ this is why I greatly prefer BW; no soft enrage.

I'm trying to think... BW has a few decent-sized pulls but a lot of them are gated. same with Sohm Al. in any case neither one of them has anything approaching the legendary final pull of Gubal. I miss that pull

not really a complaint, but sort of: first ten umbrites after reaching the +120 mark, exactly +4 bonus (+1 and +3)

is this normal or bad luck?

Did 6 or so brayflox/qarn on my mid 30s tanks last night with a healer friend, pretty sure both dps in every run was a sprout and probably 90% of them refused to attack whatever I pulled with/was attacking. Leaving the aoe mobs for last while you get the piddly puk or fish first, sure sounds like a great idea. /rage

The servers are dying again. Aether just kicked the bucket. It's always as I'm zoning out of a 24man. Always. Incoming 3 hour maint to reboot their shit software. Don't even bother playing until later tonight.
