diamond dust is a guaranteed drop to upgrade shiva weapons, they never made mirrors from levi guaranteed, they just "increased" the drop rate. not that it really matters anymore

All this rage over the TP adjustments to NIN is hilarious.
Okay NINs, you fuckers are now officially On Notice. If DF/PF derpgoons could manage to learn to dodge a fair number of mechanics (you know, because they used to die otherwise), you NINs can do the same. There's no excuse for you NINs to still be taking unreasonable amounts of damage compared to every other DPS class.
EDIT: Probably doesn't apply to any NINs that post here. Hah.
I now have a legitimate excuse to use dragoon.
I now have to gear dragoon from my i90 days. Fuck.
Also, to be fair, I'm coming at this from a mage perspective (DPS and healer). MNKs and DRGs (prior to 2.45) spend their DPS time in the 'eipcenter of everything', yet neither class routinely takes the as much damage as NINs. As a healer, I have to baby them on dote on them, otherwise they'll find a way to get 1-shotted. I'm sure this isn't an issue in static groups, but in PUGs, they make life more complicated.
As an aside, I do realize the above 'random complaint' does parallel the old debates involving FFXI WHMs: should DDs and/or tanks /NIN to reduce strain on healers. This leads me to wonder: how much damage-taken is acceptable when pushing DPS? This could potentially become a point of contention when parsers inevitably make it into the game on an 'official' basis (3.0 or later). From what I've seen in other games, any existing notion of teamwork will fall apart in the chase to place first in the parse. SMNs stop using battle rez, DPS stop dodging, so on and so forth. Not sure if that would happen in FFXIV, but who knows ...
i think every static would throw out any DPS that constantly endangers the whole raid just because they want to win the parse. Dont get me wrong pushing is nice and people should allways push, but when it gets to the point of endangering the whole raid and being more dead then alive, then that PT member/static member is useless and might as well be replaced.
Clear party? Two-shots the fight.
Farm party? Sixth shot and still wiping strong.
It's irrelevant what fight this is. It applies to every single fight in the game, really.
Still can't trade in/desynth ye olde primal EX weapons, levi weapons, or T5 weapons.
Still can't store master rogue's ring for some fucking reason.
It's the principle!
Wipe-ish for ~30min on T10, oneshot T11/12. T10 confirmed for hardest turn.
Came home to install update and get to doing my weeklies
game crashed and now can't do version check.
Time to reinstall the game. God dammit.
Saywhatnow
Right after the patch I lugged all the coil 1 gear I couldn't desnyth in to trade for seals, I don't remember the weapons being in the list.
Did they add that in 2.4 at the same time other allagan gear was made desynthable or some time later?
edit: and boom goes the allagan scepter, thanks a lot Rocl -_-
I believe so. It was an error that you couldn't trade them in and it was a bugfix or whatevs
