This is super embarrassing. Esp because SE is actually paying streamers to advertise this shitshow.
Got D/C'd, now in a 3,000 person queue, 2002 errored twice. think i'll play something else
Streamer waited in line for 6 hours and called it quits. Said if he wasn't getting paid to to it he would have left after 20 minutes of sitting in that MSQ line. At least the SE rep was understandable and he won't be in breach of contract. Plus he likes the game and said it was unfortunate that he had to broadcast skipping cutscene for 6 hours straight.
I mean, it's not just SE. Many (most?) game companies end up having issues at launch when hundreds of thousands of people are slamming their servers at once. This happens to Blizzard, too. It's entirely expected and you just gotta be patient. I understand that is not ideal for streamers but it's not like we can change the way the world functions solely for them. Problems come hand in hand with technology.
This isn't a brute force problem, this is a design problem of creating a bottleneck so early in the expansion. This wasnt a problem for Heavensward or Legion or ESO.
I'm just gonna chill abit, cause the line for the MSQ is 60 peeps right now![]()
This is shaping to be the worst launch experience in a MMO for me, I've never had to stop completely in my tracks like this, I've been spamming raubahn for 4 hours while some of my FC mates got through in 20-30 minutes, I'm completely unable to advance past 63, amazing job there SE. /rant
waiting for something like a 24 hour queue priority pass for $30 in the mog station, thatd be hilarious
I'd understand more if this were a more common issue like being constantly d/c'd or something but this is just straight up bad design. a 10-15 minute single player instance an hour in to the MSQ? k.
spent most of the last 2 hours in queue, most recently hopped into a 3,000 person line to get back into balmung. i was hoping to hit 60 on SAM today but at this rate i doubt i'll get past the vault grind
why on earth would you level in the vault
The amount of people defending this is absolutely mindboggling.
This is pretty bad. Like SWTOR bad
I don't even fuck with first days on shit like this anymore. If you wanna be annoyed playing a new expansion or release on day 1 is the way to go. I mean there's a chance you'll get lucky. Not you specifically though, just some other fucker.
not excusing the problems, but I've just been EXPing RDM and enjoying PVP. Never would have known any of that was going on
So I'm on PS4 and this update has completely borked my HUD, all menus and texts are super tiny at 100% and motherfucking comically gigantic and taking up half the screen at 150%, how do I fix this shit to the way I had it?
Yeah PVP xp is pretty insane and the queues are quick. 586k xp at 60 for 10 minutes of work.
