So my experience playing RDM so far: I'm the only one AOEing.
Geniuses at the OF: PULL BIG ASS PACKS, I'M GETTING BORED.
But.. AOEing is not a thing anymore guys.
Geniuses in DF(when I'm tanking): *runs ahead and pulls extra mobs.* BUT DOESN'T USE ANY AOEs
There just comes a point where no matter what job you are, you just can't win.
After the SAM(who has I believe the strongest AOEs for melee DPS) who single targeted everything greater than 2 mobs, I need no more confirmation. AOEing is dead
Is AoEing the way to go?

Idk how y'all are getting such shitty parties all the time. Mine tend to be pretty fine.
The worst I had recently was a Samurai that was just auto attacking everything and always really far behind not doing anything most of the time or just standing in the bad stuff and not moving ever. I didn't even have to boot them, someone else did. >.>
But yeah, majority of my parties are decent enough.
DREX is mostly fine but I still get the occasional shitter DPS or random dumbass. Anything else though is pretty hit or miss, especially leveling or 50/60 where I have the worst luck.
And AOE'ing generally depends on the number of mobs you're attacking, but not AOE'ing as a SAM is a crime since it's actually fun and super effective.
MNKs can AOE pretty well too. Well, lining up for Howling Fist and Rockbuster is quite fun.
I mean, your AoE post implies pretty heavily that this happens to you a lot no matter what job you're on and throughout your entire RDM experience. So you make it sound like getting shit party members who don't know how to play their jobs happens to you all the time.
I can say you like to imply that you always have the perfect experience in your parties but I don't truly know that now do I?
My mom always said I like to lay it on thick, i.e. I put a ton of anger/feeling into my words.
But I'd say when I'm tanking, the frequency of folks that don't AOE is a bit on the high side - but that doesn't necessarily mean the run itself is one big clusterfuck. It is slow, though. The clusterfuck parties are the ones I almost never mention, like yesterday is library(NM), both DPS wipe to avoidable mechanics on the first boss, one guy gets raised, then moments later he's dead again via stuck in book. Ha. I wont even get into the last boss. Run time was 55 minutes.
Understand something though: Everyone's partying experience will be different. Some folks have bad streaks, and sometimes they have good streaks.
wait in pf forever for o1s 2-chest tank
tank pops right as unspoiled node pops OF COURSE.
every damn time I swear :/
Amdapor Keep Hard, White Mage with ilvl 265 staff (HQ) left side ilvl 90, right side 48... I'll let you guess what he did the whole run.
Give NIN a means of resetting Mudra out of combat to alleviate waiting on them for their raid opener. Don't give anything to MCH/SMN to alleviate waiting on Reload/Aetherflow for their opener.
Great design choices there in 4.0.
the ddos script kiddies need to knock it the fuck off; this shit is getting old
p sure it's just everyone logging in for reset day weighing down SE's "budget server setup"
It was doing it Monday too so prolly not that
This week.

Says a lot that I both have a better/more reliable ping to a server overseas than the one across the continent for my region. Asses at SE can't do basic server placement research. Don't keep a server meant to cater to both west/east coast on either extreme. It introduces more potential routing bottlenecks.
Also a thing that's been bothering me forever: The half-second wait needed from skill pressed before ground-placement stuff can be placed, and that if you click too fast with a mouse you can potentially override the ground-placement with targeting a mob/player instead.
I mean.. there isn't much they can really do when the attack is on nodes outside of their server location. Primary hubs are being targeted which affecting a lot of services at those locations.
