Summary of how I feel:

I was in a group that wiped to Shiva hard mode yesterday. I don't think anyone had under 5k HP. The tank did something weird under sword which took out half the group including the healers.

It sounds like the tank pointed Icebrand at the group. It's annoying that Icebrand acts totally different in HM and EX. In EX if it doesn't hit everyone, tank dies; in HM if it hits everyone, non tanks die.

Probably hitting the party with the bash that she opens Sword with. You hit the party in EX, you don't in HM.

I find the majority of players who have huge egos are bad players and just blame everyone else. I have found more egotistical shit heads in Ex Roulette then I ever have in Coil. The few who have egos AND are good players, are allowed to have an ego because they know their shit and handle themselves.

You're right. However, in the skill range I'm moving, there is an abundance of such players. I'm an okay player, in an okay FC. Our group had the DPS to beat T10 soft enrage by a few seconds, and struggle with adds in T11 (we would have eventually done it), but nothing more. And in this environment you get the kind of people who thinks they are so much better, when in reality they just play 24/7 and perform as okay-ish as the rest of us. So they leave, and I'm again looking at the smaller and smaller pool of players that a) meet the role requirements, b) have compatible schedules, c) are decent enough and, d) speak Spanish because yeah, none other than me can communicate decently in English. That pool of players is smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall. And surprisingly filled of egocentric assholes who think that clearing T9 1 month before 2.4 makes them gods.
