You don't get a lockout penalty if you leave an instance without a full party....that makes no sense.

Yeah, I don't know what happened. I zoned in and only saw the other DPS and tank, no healer, no movement or anything from them. Then the tank suddenly disappears and is no longer in the PT list, then the other DPS not long after. I go to abandon when a new tank seems to join then get hit with the penalty.
Sounds like you left the instance just as it grabbed the last member. Sucks tho~
fuck the scouting
head, hand, bracelet, earring that never drop for me
all bis too zzzz
Dzemael for Zodiac on NIN. Died on Batraal's pull because I ripped hate with my opening combo, no biggie, shit happens and SMN raises me. WHM then just proceeds to never heal me again during the whole fight to try and err... Make a point that I shouldn't rip hate on my opener I guess? Fight lasts forever with me using Throwing Knives because you can't dodge Grim Halo and dying to targeted Grim Cleaver.
Didn't even get my item and I freaking hate humanity more than ever.
2 100% dim awful windows for nexus lights in a row.
I noticed this in Garuda HM while light farming, and it's happening again with the cactaur boss in Qarn HM. I have to dps hard, main heal, and tank adds ... as the healer. I get that it's more efficient, I really do, but ... is it really that hard for the mouthbreather dps out there to switch targets occasionally?
I think I'm getting unreasonably pissed off about the 'make the healer deal with it' mentality, even when it makes logical sense in terms of efficiency.
Not sure what you want a DPS to do.
In Garuda HM, if there happens to be an OT, they could certainly grab them (though clever SCHs I've seen make Eos pop her regen then tell her to go stand far away so no one has to deal with them).
As far as Qarn HM goes, it's the tank's job to grab adds, though there'll always be that one large add that has hate on the healer regardless.
Probably more annoying as a WHM than a SCH since you have to stance-dance Medica2+Regen, but I've never personally had a problem with it. Eos tanking shit is the best compared to you getting bodied.
the last few qarn runs its usually noone bothers with the adds even not the tank. I have them go to eos that is place on the right side and just dot bane kill them before the next add spawn, rinse and repeat. its a pain in the ass for teh healer tough when anythign goes wrong and your eos dies. What was even worse on todays qarn run was, that melees/tank didnt even bother dodgeing shit from the adds i was kiting at some point, so i went out of lustrates pretty fast while in cleric.
Fucking kill something.
Most dps can't be bothered to switch target off a (mini)boss for any reason whatsoever. Totally content to leave a swarmed healer to die. I expect it and understand it in something like a burned Garuda HM (adds aren't gonna kill a prepared healer there), but it seems to have become the standard approach anywhere but the highest-tier content.
Even many OTs in non-hardcore content (for example, ST) regularly allow adds to swarm and kill alliance healers.
I usually tell healers in Qarn to just stack on tank and keep themselves alive, and then drop caster LB on the guardia when it spawns along with all of the adds.
Yeah, that's my approach: e4e the tank (in case they're clever enough to cover me), position on the tank, pop PoM, and holy the adds into the ground. Unless something goes wrong, a nearly-full mp pool supported by shroud and an ether is enough to keep burning adds into the final wave.
But it's the random complaint thread and all. Shit's totally manageable, but holy fuck does it get under my skin. Gotta be on point at all times and everywhere.
Queuing for something as a partial group, someone withdraws once group fills, and everyone in the group gets a strike against their daily withdrawal limit.
for qarn, if you are a healer, just fucking stack on 2nd boss.
yes you guys complain, but do you ever realise there are also so many healers that run all around the fucking place waiting fir tank to grab the big add that will never happen?
When the healer stands way off and the adds automatically go for them (the regular small ones) and they just stand there or run around I really just wanna let them die out of spite.
Either SE gives me an area-wide hate skill, or you move your lazy ass into Overpower range.
Yup if a healer doesnt stack on the tank I aint got time to tab over to those adds, you diein.
Easy as fuck to treat the cactus boss exactly like the ant boss in Cutter's Cry. SS & Regen yourself/tank and kite the adds. The only 2 possible screwups are people not moving out of shit (not usually a problem) and dps not switching to Guardia (rarely happens). Those adds barely hit for anything too, I tanked them all the time on whm. You have to have a bad fucking healer for them to die from that shit.
Random (olde) complaint: Benediction lag.
