I want to level another desynth skill but I can't be bothered having to constantly maintain the one I already have leveled.

if you already capped 300, with some unwanted skills, i can see it as a problem

but if thats the case, you can buy a book to reset the unwanted one now

as for lvling a new one, and having occasional 0.01 dip, i would say its not an issue because you will still get lvl 90 accessories(for eg.) and desynth it to get back 0.25~0.35 back to 100 skill

68% vs 70% desynth at 99 skill vs 100 skill is no difference tbh

From one good thread on OF, found out about a little well-hidden thing about desynth. Basically sums up as "your last 3 successful desynths protect those crafts from delevelling".

So if you have say, goldsmithing, armorer, and culinary, and want to do blacksmith instead of culinary, if you follow either of these patterns:

gsm, arm, bsm, bsm
gsm, arm, arm, bsm
gsm, gsm, arm, bsm

Then it will always delevel cul (or whichever you're delevelling)

And these count even when they don't give skillups, so start off the cycle with lvl 1 stuff and you're all set.

Desynthing is nothing more than click spam, having to keep around a bunch of GSM items (my 100) to desnyth every 4th item is annoying.

The fact that there's no reason for it to work that way if you don't already have 300 cumulative desynth skill is most annoying of all, it's basically just there to be a hassle.

I stopped protecting my desynth skills via that circular method soon after the update that introduced the desynth skill reset books. Since that update, the occurrence and severity of desynth skill loss decreased dramatically. I can't recall a time, since that update, that I lost more than 0.01 skill.

I stopped too. I just keep a set of allagan/primal accessories on me whenever i have to touch WVR. did +.50 on WVR and lost .25 on each GSM and ARM. Thats basically 2 i90 items each.

(leveling up shouldnt drop you more than what you could easily recover with an hour in turn 4)

Tending plants is one of the most tedious things in the game. Sure it's quick and only takes a min to do 16 plants but all that clicking is annoying, and having to do it once a day makes it a chore.

Having to water my plants at all when it rains 10 times a day in Lavender Beds is retarded too, but at least the animation changes when you tend during rain.

There was a PF up for T13 progression needing a healer, I /t the leader saying I have 0 EXP but i learn pretty fast and all. Leader says I know you're a good player and fast learner, but I would still prefer someone with EXP. But I'll send you a tell w/e we need you or not.

That was 2h ago and run was suppose to start 30min ago, So i wait and wait and wait, until i see one of my friend (that is in his static) in The Burning heart.

That has to be a joke. The month a patch lands I find myself not giving a shit in the weeks leading up to it.

Coil is coil your main job is geared and you have done all the content a few hundred times that your not forcefully locked out of.

This is 100% normal feeling for me anyways. 2.5 can't come soon enough. 2.5 seems like it might hold us over fairly well seeing as 2.55 might shape up to be a decent patch content as well. And I hope so 3.0 sounds god damn epic and is getting my hopes really high lol.
