FFXIV Random Complaint Thread II: DPS can't count to potato

Trying to do Odin through DF... It's like Titan EX 2.0, people either dodge and doesn't do DPS, do DPS but doesn't dodge, or does neither. If we survive long enough to see Zantetsuken it starts casting it at 35~%, guess I'm not gonna try to get glamour through DF lol.

This has been my experience with Odin in DF so far. It's rough, people turn into magnets when the gungnir circles appear. I had one group that was doing, if you had gungnir circles run to the perimeter, if you didnt run to the middle for AoE heals, but then we failed the DPS check and wiped at like less than 5%.

Static finally cleared T13 last night. First time I've been part of a static that cleared well in advance of next iLvl increase. Elated, went to go pick up my Louisoix minion after watching the post-kill cutscenes...

And then had to sit through achievement item after achievement item I'd never bothered to pick up (GSM Luminary, Butcher's crown, all the commendation items/Master class rings, etc.). Filled my inventory with overflow from the armory chest since I was also chock full of crafting materials. Would it kill SE to give that a menu instead of making you click through each individually in what I assume is the chronological order you got those achievements? Tossed two junk mats hiding amongst the useful stuff and had just enough space to get the minion eventually, but still... was sort of a pain.

- Why do people feel the need to "assign" a group to be eaten by Cerberus when there's no reason whatsoever to not have all the DPS just jump in, obliterate the stomach in a flash, minimize the number of adds that spawn, and bring Cerb to his knees asap? Why have any DPS attacking Cerb outside when killing his stomach instantly knocks off 25% of his HP?

- Queue for WoD as tank: 30m+, fucking none of them actually want to tank shit.

Probably a similar bad reason as to why people still put tanks on towers for king behemor in labyrinth instead of ranged. They're bad, and as bads they cling to the very first strat they've ever won with, even if it's awful.

I usually call my pt out to do it cause for some reason, I have actually seen several parties (and by that I mean, 2 parties in there at once) die while inside the stomach. I don't know how you wipe to something that doesn't really attack you but, it happens.

Tanks who don't want to OT, and just spam their combo on the boss or even worse, attempt to voke+pull hate, as adds pop, piss me off way more. If you aren't MT, pick up the fucking adds and ffs, gather them together so we can AoE them.

After waiting so long for a damn T11 clear because of countless issues with our static (attendance issues, douchebag leader leaving without a fucking word to anyone, people being busy with christmas/new years, RL shit coming up, blah blah) we finally got to put some time in to it last night and downed it (yeah, slowpoke.jpg). Hype that I finally have a shot at my weapon (and I even have a welfare carbontwine from hunts to upgrade it immediately!) I am immediately greeted by this:

It's bad enough that certain dungeons wanna be cool and play the part of atma 2.0 with dropping their relic items, but getting stuck with shit like this guy makes it unbearable.

That's an INT neck, DEX ring, and GP ring, in case his profile updates. No buffs, no debuffs. Fighting 1 mob? 123 123. 10 mobs? 123 123. No drop at the end, of course.

Also fuck dungeon iLvl sync. Can't be arsed to do high-lvl since you can't carry a 15min clear with one bad dps anymore. The DRG I had today might as well not have even been in the party as far as his output went.
