3 tanks in WoD and not 2 testicles to be found between them all.
Also it's PLDx3 90% of the time.
Bard body in WoD doesn't exist. Done 20+ 2nd boss runs and have seen everything else multiple times... Including those stupid belts that have a 25% drop rate. Only thing I want for my bard and that HP will be nice for t13 because I refuse to buy the poetic body because it's utter garbage
And you know the first time I see it drop I'll lose roll to another Bard who is in i90 gear or pure poetics
Recently I've seen BRDs leaving after 2nd boss, this explains why...
WoD should have had 2 chests per boss.
With NIN gear added into the mix the shit has just gotten ridiculous.
It's bad enough they even put belts in there to begin with.
Diablo 3 has a slick version of that; every item that ever hits your inventory is "saved" for glamor and you can pay a lil fee to poof it onto any base armor or weapon. I'd love to see that here, but heh, the Japanese trying to code things on a PC game is damn near a joke in of itself.
"But the amount of memory that would take!!" SE cries, "We can't save that much data associated to your character! We'll be bankrupt in a week!"
Terrible.
I think smallest loot table for any boss in WoD is 11 items.. That's just fucked for 1 piece of loot per boss. The fact they didn't think adding 2 items per chest boggles my mind. We don't want 2 chests, we want 2 items in the chest. If it's 2 chests per boss then it will be like coil where each chest has its own loot Table
But they made it so the new dungeon chests drop a crafting item and a piece of gear, rather than one or the other.
So don't worry, we can get ilvl 100 gear without so much hassle easier now, all is well.
edit: also Odin should drop 2 pieces at a time, it's vanity gear ffs and it's not even new
Even the fact that they didn't go back and change the token pieces into the new single slot ones at 1-2 tokens a piece is fucking absurd
I pretty much requested something like this on the OF a day or so ago. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Glamour-system.
Also, A random complaint from me... kinda. I have a lot of qualms about the open world in XIV, how it feels just... hollow? Or something? I can't quite place my finger on it but I've never really "remembered" spots in XIV like I remember them in other games. If we take XI, I could tell you what zone you were in, within reason, by a screenshot... If you showed me screenshots of zones here, I might be able to go "Oh, thats uh.. thats that one place!" to a few of them, but names.. eh? no... Regardless, I was watching this and something was mentioned that kinda struck a cord with me.
It should start at the time...
Every point doesn't apply to my complaints, but... a few of them do. Still don't know why I can't attach myself to FFXIV's open world like I so easily did with other games. I even know areas more keenly in GW2, a game I didn't play as much. I want to attach myself to FFXIV's open world, its certainly beautiful enough in some places and the landscape is amazing... but I can't just.. love it like I want too. Is it simply the lack of NMs and reasons to explore the open world? I mean, theres not much exploration when everything there is to explore has a quest marker already... IDK.
Certainly a valid complaint. It's probably due to the lack of memories attached to any given location. Like you said, you're in, you hit your quest/hunt/whatever, and you're out. These reasons are what come to mind for me to explain it.
• FFXIV lacks danger, so there's no places that you'd remember 'cause there's nowhere that's difficult to reach.
• FFXIV lacks any extended open-world grinding, so you don't get the scenery engraved into your mind out of sheer repetition.
• FFXIV doesn't have any specialized areas for their NMs, so while the hunt mobs are zone-based, they're not restricted to any one particular area to give that spot some flavor. FATEs could fill this niche, but since the rewards don't differ from FATE to FATE (with a few exceptions), it doesn't really work out that way...
• and of course, as you mentioned, the quests are all explicitly lined out for you, so there's little reason to explore. You know you won't find any obscure NMs, nothing on the map means no quests, etc.
I bet RPers and Fishers probably remember the open-world areas the best.
