i'm sure it'll be good to great, everything Pixar does is, but yuh feels unnecessary TS3 was the perfect ending.

For us oldies, but for new kids this is great.

Echoing the opinion that TS3 was a fine finish for the series. If anything this could have been a fresh take with a different cast. In either case, maybe it's the trailer's audio mixing, but Tim Allen seems to be lacking the bass in his voice I'm used to hearing with Buzz. That or old age getting to his vocal chords. This is also another case of a trailer showing too much of the movie off, ended up stopping it halfway through.
The real question. what the hell happened to Andy's Character Model? He went from looking like a regular kid to looking like some kid from a model catalogue.

Director Josh Cooley on why there is a 4th.
That's the question of all questions. We realized, we love the end of Toy Story 3. It ends Woody and Andy's story perfectly. We realize there is more story to tell to continue Woody's story and once we started going down that path and realizing oh there is more to tell for Woody, we just kept going and we hit upon something that's worth telling.
The idea of Bo Peep also is so intriguing to us. This movie has been kind of codenamed Peep Here Within the Walls, for the whole four years we've been making it. 'Cause we knew she was such an important character in this one and the idea of them coming back together after not seeing each other for nine year, and just what's become of her was something we thought was worth exploring.
also, money
"The idea that we could make money off of a potential plot unexplored in TS3 was too good to pass up."
On the other hand, Toy Story is one of the few perfect trilogies and I worry about the quality of this one.
But if they keep it up I won't complain.
Sitting at 100% on RT with 62 reviews in.
No short film before the film, has mid & post credit scenes
Just got out of seeing it with Astylla. Very enjoyable and a worthy continuation of the story.

Just saw it today, I didn't like it that much. I feel they had the perfect ending with the 3rd movie and this just muddled it up. Felt like a cash grab honestly, idk.
