I can't play. I'm worried that when I get back home next month, my skills will have degraded.

Was a little worried I was gonna get stuck with all the shitters waiting this long to do placements. Turns out they were so shitty carrying was easy. Got 2881
edit: oops that's p'big
Spoiler: show
Went 5-5 on placements, 3 of the losses had leavers which was pretty depressing. Still managed to place at 2478, barely shy of plat but only a win away. Course went on a 5 game losing streak, took me all day to crawl back up and get into platinum.
All in all season 2 already feels a lot better. Still running into a lot of people that refuse to change characters or use voice in the 2600s but outside of those matches have been pretty even and fun.
i'm most of the way through my placements at 4 and 3 currently. matches thus far have been way better than my S1 placements, no leavers and the teams have all been relatively competent and matches pretty well balanced. only game where my team got completely stomped was a match with 2 groups of 5.
Went on a Widowmaker spree recently, got a couple of POTG's yesterday. My scoped accuracy is so fucking terrible.
I have a Razer Abyssus mouse. It has three DPI settings on the bottom (450/1800/3500) and I have it to 1800 DPI. Any recommendations on sensitivity? I like the quickness of my mouse, but I don't want it to deter my potential accuracy. I have my in-game sensitivity to 4.5 (I think - at work right now) and my scoped sensitivity is set to 42. Does anything need to be configured in Razer Synapse? I am on Windows10.
synapse just allows you to set the sensitivity level for each step so you can have a wider or narrower range of values. i have mine set to cap out fairly low, iirc the default settings had a ceiling that was way over a usable sensitivity.
I may have to install the software then and toy around with it. 450 is just so slow...
I thought there was somewhere in Windows where you could adjust the DPI settings, but I don't see anything like that in Mouse Properties.
Calibrated at 2502. I'm ok with that. My friend on the other hand calibrated at ~3150. He has been on a free fall down to 2700s lol.
Learned not to take random invites from people in ranked.
Won a match, I had more healing than their Lucio as Zenyatta/Ana. Said they loved me after at first being reluctant to the Ana pick and wanted me to join their group for another match.
Ended up losing. Their Lucio kept getting slammed. Was wondering why his heals were so low compared to mine and I looked at his level he was like 27. Blamed me since there is no way they would blame their friend and removed me.
Quite a huge number of people are complaining about s2 in the official forums. I do admit you can do so much and play insanely good but your team can still bring you down, especially if you solo queue (which i'm never doing again). But people are outright getting furious with the fact that it takes 2-3 wins to recover from 1 loss. It's pretty bad imo, but i barely play comp, went on a 5 loss streak and i just gave up, dropped down to 2050 cuz horrible teams in solo queue. Unbelievable that people still say they want to "practice" hanzo, torb, or bastion on offense. Lol
Cloak & Dagger
Some of my teams today:
-Gibraltar - No one wants to be healer. I picked my character either first or 2nd. I end up changing because I want to win but I tell them that I hate them and they need to come to me (at Reinhardt) if they want healing.
-Hollywood - Attack Symmetra. We're unable to cap the first point. On Defense the guy goes Junkrat and our team keeps them behind the arches outside of a couple that make it through then die. Ends up a draw.
-Attack Torbjorn. Can't remember which it was, but we somehow won. He wasn't even upgrading his turret to level 2.
Yeah I had three bad players today that seemed like trolls. People claiming they're carrying, refuse to switch off DPS (we had 4), troll picking Torbjorn when they have no time to set up.and not switching, etc.
Had a comp. game where I had a bronze on Mercy for 1 Elim for about the first half of an entire KOTH game.
Are you sure Platnium isn't the competitive hell?
Low gold is considered the hell, and plat is as well it seems. Lol
if the gutter of gold is hell i guess i can just drop competitive again, finished my placements 4W/5L/1D at ~2150 :\
Man I really need to get some training in. Hard to get used to a class though when you're the only one on your goddamn QP team willing to switch.
I think all of us in comp hell should 6 man!!!
Why is this allowed? We got a team kill and I got a quad kill within the first min of a capture the point game. Someone on the other team left and match canceled. BS.
