Stupid question but what is tilting? Intentionally throwing a match?

It's like the FPS version of being salty
I was exaggerating though I suppose that might come down to not being familiar with FPS brand of stupid.
That is pretty funny, the only other meta I slightly remember was like in Halo 2 (or 3) with a certain weapon combo that would basically fuck anything.
Mal and I just won 6 straight comp games pretty comfortably each time; feels good for once. Up to 2829 and Mal is like 3050.
Comp we did. What'd we do, 6/6, 7/7? Damn good games regardless. That last one was really clutch. I had my doubts because a couple of the guys seemed to just be the standard "omg why won't he die" "omg how'd I die so fast" etc. Really pulled it together though on Eicken at the bridge. Ended up just over 3k, like 3063 or something.
The salt is real in me tonight.
King's Row. Tie. We go on Defense. I suggest, perhaps Symmetra is not the best idea, as they rolled over us in under a minute last time with Symmetra on defense. I am already healing, but I think having a second healer to last us one minute may be a good idea. "If we get TP, we win." OK... Not gonna say anything... 30 seconds in, Symmetra is dead and I'm dead, because well, they killed the supports. It's ok though! We're holding it, Sym's turrets get the teleporter, and we are holding the point. Sym dies, and decides "Let me change off Sym while the TP is up", resulting in three respawning people to not make it back. "Ooops" goes the Symmetra, who has now moved to being our 3rd DPS. Why? Who knows. Brain damage maybe.
It's OK, we can still attack though! We have a minute! We even captured the point! Only casualty is me, five us on point! Yes! A CHANCE. With the point at about 70% captured... -THE ENTIRE FUCKING TEAM- left the point. They ran forward like 5-6 seconds while I'm respawning, watching them. Of course, they got steamrolled by the incoming team, and we didn't capture the point. It was too difficult for one person to realize "I should stay on the point until it's captured."
I'd point out, through all of this, I have said nothing aside from perhaps Sym was not the best idea. Everyone knows how dumb they were. But they keep doing it. This was probably one of the more horrible examples, but fucking hell, what do I have to do to not queue into a pile of human feces?
/salt.
[edit]Next match, Route 66, attack... With our friend, Attack Torbjorn! We get crushed pretty easily. The round ends. Someone complains. Attack Torbjorn? "I think that was a pretty good round." Double check. 3 hours in QP. 0 hours in S1, S2, S3 as Torbjorn. Seems legit.
God I hate mystery heroes. It's amazing how a game can go from good to hell when you get 2 D.Vas on the enemy team.
Just one more game to win...
i love mystery heroes. randomized games like those are generally my favorite. that one in particular has some extra strategy behind it if you wanna increase your odds of winning, which i think is pretty cool
I've had 2 instances I can remember where they bumrushed us on King's row at the last point because they had 3 Roadhogs and then another with 3 Zaryas.
Korean Overwatch pros are doing some 2 days year-end event bo3 matches, Korean National Team vs OGN APEX Allstar, looking at the roster it's gonna be pretty exciting. https://www.twitch.tv/teaminven
https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitive...ional_team_vs/

Ryujaehong - Probably one of the best Ana in the world right now, recently because of roster shuffle is shifted to DPS position.
Miro - THE best Winston player in the world, great at D.va too.
Arhan - Really good genji, on par with Shadowburn from Faze probably.
Esca - Hitscan player, decent, 2nd best in Korea probably, Nanohana being the best.
Evermore - The 5k rating guy, beast Roadhog
Panker - One of the best offensive Reinhardt, has amazing timing on his Earthshatters
Reading what shuk was saying about the 3 hour torb. Blizzard was fucking retarded for allowing people pre lvl100 to enter comp.
Yeah it is ridiculous. Though I'm kinda meh since this season of competitive feels dull.
I've had good games this season, plenty. Close nail bitters that everyone was trying super hard on and working together. Then I go into "Recent players" and see it's all people on characters they have tons of hours of playtime on. I would just like some method of filtering the players I play with.
It's really great when someone's like "OK, I'll go Roadhog, he's a good counter to X" but they've only played Roadhog a handful of times at best. Not bad people, trying to help the team, but not everyone can flex between four or five heros at the same skill level as their best.
Mal I should be on around 6 PM ET if you want to run again tonight
Certainly a good point to make that I imagine most don't take into account. I feel that way with Sym, Rein, Junkrat, Dva, and Soldier pretty much in that order. Beyond those, I can play a serviceable Lucio, Mercy, and Hanzo but anything beyond those and I'm really in the dark, hitting wrong skill buttons, not being used to the trajectory of their shots, how to really fill their roll, etc.
I'll prolly be on around there or shortly after Wulf.
