Apparently a Zarya bubble counts as blocking LOS for Hammerdown so if your standing behind a shielded Zarya it should save you.

Or I'm thinking that's standing behind Zarya when Nerfdis goes off. I could be mixing them up.

But overall yes. Earth shatter is pretty damn powerful

TIL: Symmetra's Shield Generators stack.

Was playing Mystery Heroes and we got Eichenwalde defense. I started as Genji and immediately noped myself into a pit because I can't play him to save my life, ended up getting rerolled as Symmetra. At the end our team was 2x Symmetra, Torb, Zarya, Mercy, & can't remember the 6th. There wasn't anything the other team could do with the armor we had.

In another match the enemy team had 3x D.Va. We obviously lost that one. Also lost another on Hanamura attack where we kept getting support characters when respawning to attack B. Win or lose, I still enjoy playing this mode for the random setups.

I'm really starting to love Zarya. Especially when you have someone in QP that takes advantage of your ult. Had a Junkrat get a trip off my ult by me just W+M1ing into the cluster while he knew enough to keep the tire behind me.

Weird match last night. SR3200 solo queue. Hanamura Defense first. Get rolled first point, realize I'm solo support Ana during B defense for 7 minutes. Somehow hold??? Win on attack. No flaming the entire time.

Sometimes you have to keep fighting and have a "Never concede" attitude when you don't have an optimal comp.

You could not describe anything more normal if you tried lol. Solo healing Ana is the meta and Hanamura point 2 is easily the hardest to take in the game.

So any verdict on the Hook 2.0 changes after the patch earlier this week?

EDIT: Did a quick test on training bots. Wasn't able to hook a bot I could see but able to kill it with an alt-fire shot.

Finally played again this weekend; just some Arcade Mystery Hero matches with a friend. Got a Quad with D.Va bomb on Oasis. Also got a potg Triple with Sym. Had a good time playing Arcade so will probably continue to ignore Comp.

Played some Comp this weekend. Did my first three placement matches, and lost all three (solo queue). Zero communication. Zero counter chairacter changes. I tried politely asking people to focus on the Mei fucking us up. Or to watch the side where a soldier 76 was just STANDING and shooting our entire team. One person only played Tracer/Sombra. It was quite frustrating...

edit: I think my favourite part of the night was when someone chose Widowmaker (I have 38 hours on Widow in quick play - no I am not good with her but sniping is fun. I did not choose her in comp because I am not kephrii level) and he had 27 minutes playtime as Widow...

I've been trying to enjoy new characters and I've found the best place for that is random heros lol. Widow really is fun, I'm just pretty bad with her and we'll aiming in general. I've started CSGO aiming maps to help me improve daily, and it shows in my widow play but I still have ways to go.

Did Arcade random last night too. Played and lost like 4 games and had to end the night with a quick play to reassure myself I wasn't trash and it was just RNG fucking me. I won the quick play so yay sleep easy

Just started watching. I never usually catch the tourneys so this will waste some of my work day.

@Karbuncle: Agreed. I like random heroes because I get to play heroes I wouldn't otherwise. Specifically Hanzo/Widow as they usually aren't great picks, but they're fun to play. Also helps you get better at everyone in general and work on aim, positioning, and sometimes ult timing (i you can build it and not die).
