That was literally my first post in what is probably years. I do come by to lurk every once in a while.
That's what I thought too, is that Ryko? >_> People always come back to check BG sometimes.
You haven't seen some of the people I've had to play with. I'm stuck in Silver hell (No clue why, was near diamond last season, went 7-3-0 on placement) and i've had people level 400+ that had the mental capacity of a chicken that just had it's head chopped off. And I'm only of the skill level of good enough to not fuck the team over, possibly pull off something insane to save us, but not good enough to carry a squad of scrubs that like to file 1 at a time like an assembly line into a buzz saw.
Fuck outta here, Rykoshet.
...Jesus, its been awhile.
Nothing is mroe depressing than doing good on Mystery Heroes then the enemy team getting 3 D.Vas, a Roadhog, and 2 cancerous Meis
Oh, I was in 2600 range, dropped back to 2100. It's basically retard nation. Everyone thinks they know best, and no one does good practices, no one waits, no one doesn't poke, Reinhardt's just charge into groups of 6 and die before the charge ends, people start screaming not to trickle (while trickling). You get the healer that's frustrated and swaps off healer, thus sealing the teams fate. Literally people who are all mentally retarded when it comes to playing as a team. Just need to press that LMB as much as you can, ever moment.
Daily dose of salt: KotH, Nepal. Mei on the team. First round goes by, doesn't go well at all. We have low DPS, and Mei's walls have been not great. People request a change. "I have gold Obj. kills" ... (I had Silver, it was 2, not exactly an achievement).
Second match, stays Mei. I tank. He saves people from my hook. Like he walls as I hook, twice. OK... On point... He walls myself and someone else outside. We die, lose point. By now everyone is asking him super nicely, please change. Nope. Third round? Bad walls everywhere. I don't even know if it was on purpose. At the end, "Guys, meta sucks. Meta just means you win until you get a higher rank then lose because you suck. Unconventional picks are good, you get skill."
I... Idk? It devolved into him raging screaming and calling people retards. It really doesn't matter how polite, how nice you are to them, the testosterone is going and and their egos just can't take it.
Edit: Wow. Salt goes to the botting team with names like Ryujehong. A soldier that barely ever missed. A Genji who is either top world class Genji, like pro level at 2000 SR. Hitting perfect hit shots .1 second after a dash, mid jump, etc, no movement stoppage *ever*. I'm sure they must know its obvious and must know they'll be reported, because it's that obvious?
Everyone congratulate Ryko on getting to silver in comp
The lower you get, the worse it gets. I had one game, I have absolutely no clue how the fuck we won, but I was the only healer as Zenyata (our offense was so low, me switching to Mercy or Lucio would have been worse), and all I can say is thank god the other team was worse cause I was gold on every god damn medal including damage, healing, elims, obj elims,. On a personal level, I think it was about as close to a perfect game i've ever played.
Finished my climb to Gold, wasn't all that bad, other than being one game away 3 different times and going on losing streaks of 2-3.
It really does get significantly worse as you drop. I either end up riding a huge win streak up to like the 2500-2600 range, or a losing streak just as bad that drops me to 2000 range. You get gold elims, damage and you're Reinhardt and you've killed 4 people in a KotH match. Your head just wants to implode. And there ain't nothing you can do about it. On the other hand, if I ever hit 3000 SR solo queue, that'll be a god damn accomplishment. And everyone on your team feels the same way. Dat soloQ lyfe.
You have to play literally 1k above your level to come close to "carrying" solo. You at least need one person capable of working with you to do it. I dragged my ass from 2900 to 4k in 2 days off of asking "who is the best ana here" then smashing faces with Reinhardt. And I mean literally taking capture points off of 16 man kill streaks and killing 5 players on the team so long as I'm alive.
There's plenty of truth to that. My best "trick" is trying to find who's the best possible DPS and pocketing them as much as possible. Often it's the Reinhardt. But I'll Mercy pocket a Pharah if they go on a rampage, or a great Soldier who sticks with Reinhardt's shield? Great! Because I know when I DPS, it's super rare for a healer to give me much of their attention, doesn't matter how well I do. But sometimes you just get crap, crap DPS. Pharah just eats your team alive, it doesn't matter if you Discord Ana for the Soldier or McCree. You can go Ana and snipe her, but it takes three hits, mostly you only get two before you have to do something else (hide, heal, etc). You can sit there with your damage boost beam on Soldier all day and Pharah doesn't die. Maybe they're bad DPS. Maybe the tank is doing dumb things and once the tank goes down, the healer goes down, and the Soldier is alone. Sometimes your team sucks and the other team sucks worse.
Edit: Also, for a strong hero, McCree's winrate is third to last. Only Hanzo and Sombra are lower. He's supposedly easy to play, but damn is he utterly ineffective in most of matches.
