Orisa hits every non-healer fun button I have.

I have 4200 points, and I just want to get a golden gun and only play her. She feels like the Ana of tanks: Her kit is amazing, but not overpowering. She's fun as hell to play, so much utility, but feels just slightly below being overpowered.

The question becomes where does she fit in? I don't think we'll go below two tanks, and it feels as if she can initiate pushes when she wants, or protect a team member when she wants. Feels like she'll really affect the meta.

Does anyone know if Sombra's EMP will break her shield thingie?

I've lost 4 of my 10 placement matches because of fucking Bastion. Either I have a stupid one who can't do crap or the game I just did where literally the whole team was blocking him and my team couldn't handle him. I've been gold medals every game too, as little as that means. I'm done with my placement matches until some of the PTR stuff makes it to live because this is stupid.

They only update on Tuesdays so at the very least next Tuesday. They've liked to do a two week schedule at times though so I could see it being the same time (I assume, nothing to back this up) they'll add Orisa to live and it'll be the 14th.

It doesn't matter. Play your best heroes. I'll probably do 80% support/20% tank and be around 3k. Probably do my placements today and tomorrow.

Wouldn't mind hitting plat this season to ensure my first golden gun. Haven't done much comp outside of placements in 4 seasons, but I can play any tank or support char at a competent level if any small stack is willing to bring me along. 0-6 the dream is real! Still going up against diamonds though if that means anything.

edit: 2-8 and 2744. Lowest I have been in a long time. Time to get back up to 3k quickly.

7 wins, 2 losses, 1 tie = 2066. Mostly diamonds in my matches. Grrr.

I did hear something along the lines of that if you score low, you get more SR for your wins until you "match" your proper MMR/SR "hidden" rating.

Yea I have been getting about 40-60 SR per win and only losing 5-15 per loss.

Back up to Diamond. And from my small sample size, the amount of Mercy picks have gone up astronomically. They did enough to nerf Ana and Lucio that she is actually a decent pick. One match went full on Mercy hunting as Winston. Opponents were disciplined enough to keep McCree and Zarya right next to her nearly all the time that I kept getting destroyed. And I'm ok with that if that's the kind of competition I'm going up against.

And less Bastion picks. I think the nerf did enough to discourage him as an imba pick. Then again I go Zeny and disco his ass to death.

The general increase in Pharah use also helps Mercy get picked more. I like playing Mercy, I think she's my second best support, so this is a welcome change to me.
