Urgh when do comeptitive games not get so bad? I've seen so many Rein's that are dead weight since the other team is diving, DPS that won't switch/can't hit a solo pharah, and Syms that can't build up an ult in time to be worth the risk.

Aaaaand road to diamond is halfway done!! Hit plat last night going 4-1 in matches. Currently 2517.
Invite me. I need less braindead DPS
Yeah that's happening a lot. 4 game losses last night with only 1 win. Seems to be Syms who can't get an ult/building gets destroyed, Reins who can't do shit against a dive, or the dickhead DPS tgat won't switch cuz "muh main/medalz"
Rein sucks against dive yah. it's why Rein is losing fame this season. But people at lower ranks still make use of it because dive teams don't know how to dive most of the time lol.
Sombra is really good as a counter dive but don't do that it's a trooollll pick to idiots at this rank
At higher levels, Rein comps are counter dive. It all depends on how disciplined your teammates are to stick around him and not wander too far off. Ana can't heal people behind a Rein shield after all. Then again, they better be running Lucio + Zen for synergy.
Also Rein still has his bugged swing that will soon be fixed. If you're holding left click, any swing after the 1st the hit reg won't happen until after the animation is complete as opposed to when the hammer hits an enemy mid-swing.
Dinoflask does it again:
"Guess what? You're fired!"
holy shit i didnt get any of the blizz jokes mentioned in the description but that is so awesome that they flew him out. OW is the first blizz game i've put a ton of hours into and I totally get why people are blizz fanboys.
I've seen ridiculous Genjis and Tracers pull off the 1v4s with their respective ults. Winston can't keep up with a good Genji if he's getting dash resets and a good Genji won't put himself in the position to get killed by a Winston unless he knows he's going to be able to dash out of danger or kill him.
Idk about that... Every game I've had in master has been pretty great. People swap when countered and communication is a lot more common, but that's only something I've noticed since I got into master.
Sadly comm in plat is mostly "Hello" between 2-3 people and the typical "Why should I switch? I'm doing my job" whiner if they don't straight up ignore comms.
Yeah, I play on a friend's account in plat so that I can play with some of my other friends and also improve my DPS skills (I'm only a master playing tanks/supports) and I've run into that kind of stuff many times. We had a soldier complain on first attack round on Dorado about me playing Hanzo when I had gold damage and my Zarya friend had silver, which meant that the Soldier complaining had bronze or nothing. Silver damage was only ~2300 too so he dealt sub 2300 damage in 4 minutes and had the balls to complain about a Hanzo who was outdamaging him. On another occasion, I was pigeonholed into playing Mercy since we had no healer and a plat Soldier was lecturing me about having better positioning when I died at least twice flying in to save HIM for being out of position. The second after he lectured me, he died for being in front of a Rein shield so that was p funny. I only died 5 times total in that 2 round game on Mercy and half of them were trying to save him for being out of position until I gave up on that.
I feel like in Gold/Plat if you don't talk or say hello within the first minute or so no one talks ever. But generally in my range (mid-gold to mid-plat) you get varying amounts of voice comms. Most people in that range will at least listen to calls if you aren't obnoxious or annoying about it (but they still won't respond).
It's about as hit or miss as having a decent team comp.
Gold/Plat is the ego zone. Never make a suggestion. Never swap. If you have a single bronze medal, make sure people know. Make sure to call out everyone for being shit, and scream. The opposite is when you're on the winning team, and it's basically a super easy match and everyone feels positive. Just had a Rein with Soldier + McCree + Ana + Zenyatta. Watch kill feed. 3 minutes in, Pharah finally died.
On the plus side, Winston feels super OP and I've been mostly playing him lately. Easy to end up with gold elims / damage if you have even a semi competent team. The more I Winston, the more I win, so I'm just gonna ride him up the ranks.
I should try Winston but QP is a hell hole for any training
You just gotta take the hit and try it in Comp. Luckily most people won't ever yell at anyone who picks a tank except to maybe tell to you pick a different one.
No point in messing in QP if you have a brain, youre already better than 90% of the people who are below Diamond.
Fuck it. I give up. I can't take the goddamn retardation/lack of teamwork anymore.
First game: People don't know how to switch to counter triple tank
Second game: Fuck switching hitscan/burst to deal with the enemy Pharah/Zarya.
Third game: How in the fucking hell is this even possible? Did the rest of this team get carried into plat or some shit?

i know you guys love shitting on qp but that's where i spend the vast majority of my time, and you can learn quite a bit even if you're out of the "comp" environment.
you can practice your mechanics without pressure and play what is actually a fun game without being FUCKING MISERABLE WHICH SOUNDS LIKE 99% OF YOUR GAMES EVERY TIME SOME OF YOU GUYS POST
but seriously if you enjoy the misery it's all good. just saying there are options that potentially allow you to have fun at less expense to your well-being than doing comp.
^ This is why I don't play comp.
