Overwatch, It Isn't New Anymore

Hardly anyone using mics in this game for whatever reason? Hard to coordinate pushes if supers are ready given it's your comeback mechanic. Might have just been bad match-ups prior to my group getting together and then punching shit in.

I actually have trouble reading the game visually in general. Things get hectic quick and I'm unable to work out at a glance if I'm near my team or if that's a foe outside of the minor red outline. The default FoV (103?) doesn't really feel like 103 either for whatever reason.

Got to LV6; spent about 80% of my time on Lucio. No one wants to play support. He's solid, but pretty boring to play; largely just stand back but close enough to team, try not to die, and AOE heal with R1 boost every now and then. Drop a super when the other team starts rushing. Healed 9,000 in one game tonight; have no idea if that's decent but got a lot of coms.

I have enjoyed pushing several people off the map with L2 though. It reminds me of PVP in XIV on WHM with Fluid Aura.

got my first play of the game as phara. team was doing pretty poorly on hollywood the whole match, we got pushed back to the very end. the whole team tried to push into the end zone all clustered together right as i came back from respawn, wiped them out from above with an ultimate and we managed to hold them for the win.

not a particularly skillful moment, just lucky timing and somehow not getting swatted down right away, but goddamn that felt good lol

Yep, that's good. I usually get about 4-6k as Mercy to get top healing.

I think a lot of people don't realize this isn't Call of Duty/Battlefield/Whatever and it's not just a deathmatch. Defend becomes "half the team runs up ahead and dies."

Made it to rank 10 tonight before deciding to stop. Got a few good items so far. Also, 0 server issues on PS4. I realized Pharah is a pain to control with a controller since Right Stick controls her aiming and X is Hover.

Weekly brawl is a pain if your not playing as a character with an OP super. bastion, mcree and such seem like they will dominate the weekly brawl simply because they can just 1shot you with the super which makes me a sad panda because im a s76 guy.

Also can't believe you can just buy loot boxes straight out the gate, give people a month or so to pay for the crap like every other fps going.

Send party invites on XBL if your up for it guys, looking to play a few solid games with a chance of winning.

Day 1 stats

What are you using to show your stats? The official OW stats on Battle.net look different. Apparently I healed 11,900 in one game if I'm reading this correctly.

Been playing with two sets of friends. One set has played the stress test beta + open beta and knows their shit and one of them loved playing Quake and is pretty good at FPS in general. Serious games happen here where yelling occurs on voice chat.

The other group is a bunch of Day 1s that have no idea what the hell is going on. One guy pretty much has Winston as a comfort hero hulking out and bashing faces. Another player knows TF2 but has no idea what is going on in this game zipping around as Tracer or Pharah not knowing what the hell is happening 75% of the time. Needless to say, this group I take very lightly and try out new stuff. Kinda hard though going with a group of 4 and maybe getting matched up against an organized group who are more akin to my first set of friends. Oh well, gotta learn somewhere.

I was wondering why they wouldn't just sell currency either, but thinking of it as a business pov, the whole shitty rng of it would enable you to make more money from stupids.

Eh, after a certain point, buying crates is basically the same as buying currency. Just a random amount of currency.

They should add a Friend feature for forming groups in the future. There's no way to add people in-game.

Have no idea how it works in console, but in PC you can ask to join a friend's group. You'll start spectating if they accept. You can even suggest to your party leader to invite someone on your friend list and not on the leader's list.

I see. Group Chat and Team Chat defaults don't seem to be functioning properly.
