Been getting into Zarya myself but I feel like I rarely get a team that supports her properly to make her truly shine

I find she works really well when paired with another tank, but just like support everyone is allergic to taking two of them no matter how well they may synergize with each other. Have a Mercy and you picked Symmetra? You can bet your ass Mercy just switched to be the 3rd Widow/Hanzo/Genji in the group.
Zaraya is my comfort pick. I remember one game I controlled Hanamura A archway with only a Symmetra as support and to a lesser extent a Torb with armor packs. Thank god she can basically go hit and run and get half of her HP recharged via shields.
2nd Support with Mercy is practically required with all but the most tanky of defense setups imo. Everyone focuses Mercy. Healbeam and wings may as well be a giant "SHOOT HERE" sign. I tell you though, Zarya/Zarya is fucking scary. Feels like they always have a black hole ready to fuck over pushes. Wulf went Zen with my Mercy a few times last night and I feel like Zen ult is a good answer to one Zarya but 2 is just a matter of time before they outpace you.
Also anyone wanna brainstorm a "Mercy dmg buff tier list"? I put (no particular order in brackets)
Bastion/Soldier near the top,
Dva/Pharah/Junkrat in the middle,
Genji/Widow/Hanzo/Sym/Roadhog/Rein/Zenyatta situational, or
Torb/Tracer/Lucio almost never.
That leaves what, Mccree, Mei, Reaper, Winston, Zarya? And another Mercy I guess but 2Mercy seems rare. Obviously some you can buff for ult but I mean more for general purpose. People in situational/almostnever I basically just pull out my gun instead and damage boost while I'm offhand-reloading.
Playing healer in solo queue competitive is just about the most stressful thing ever. I'm pretty sure I will never break this healing personal record; beat my previous high by a factor of 2. We also lost badly. Derps see a healer on the team and think it means they can just blindly charge and take a metric ton of damage. Meanwhile the other team's Pharah is on her 7th Death from Above....
I single-handedly saved a win earlier with a GA quad-raise with the payload 1.9 meters from the finish. We pushed the payload to the finish in OT next round. I took like a 20 minute break after that game.
Tyven, is this you?

Lol I wish. This morning was thinking about all the good cosplay we gonna see from this game. Especially roadhog
No good roadhogs I've seen yet, but Tracer basically is one and done:
I can't imagine anyone ever topping that.
The disconnect = almost no XP for the winning team is complete horseshit. Just spent like 30 minutes with Ryko's team in an epic 6v6 KotH Nepal match and got like 1/16th of a rank bar because someone disconnected / rage quit in like last 15s of the final round.
Comp still fun as hell, but this is so annoying.
#1 is Bastion with a competent player; it's not close in terms of absolute damage gained from boosting. From there it depends, but I like:
2) 76 - Range and boosted helix rockets destroy kids
3) Pharah - If she can aim
4) Junkrat - Grenades already do too much dmg imo; boosted they are nuts
5) Reaper - Only when close to a target
6) Offensive Zenyatta - With discord and dmg boost up, Zenyatta can kill Roadhog in like 4 hits
7) Snipers - People quote shot to hit ratios, but it's never that clean; a boosted WM can kill someone at a 2 charge that they wouldn't have otherwise
The rest is situational. I will boost a Reinhardt in battle with another Rein because I know he will win with it. I will boost a good Roadhog so they can 1HKO 250 HP targets. 76 or Reaper with ult boosted are team killers. If I have nothing to heal, I'll boost anyone, including a Toblerone.
Symmetra at the start can be strong if you've got eyes on their spawn. I've killed Tracer/Zenyatta out of the gate with charged balls, hampers their initial charge pretty heavily. With it's ability to pass through and hit all targets, it can lead to a heavy hit early on. Plus, if you're lucky enough to hit 3+ enemies, maybe 4, you'll cap the charge on your teleporter.
There was one posted about a month ago that was really good:

He also did Reinhardt:

Apparently people are crashing Overwatch servers with Genji and Hanzo by getting into a tight space and wall climbing to infinity, essentially DDoSing the game. Wonder if that's what was causing our spots of lag and voice chat lag tonight Wulf? Regardless, wouldn't recommend doing it, lots of posts about ban emails going out for doing it, though I didn't see anything official from Blizzard. Seems people were doing it when they were on the losing end of a competitive game.
Up next video was also of interest, something I hadn't seen mentioned. I've seen Genjis go flying without any explanation or find their way to positions they shouldn't off been able to reach quite so quickly. This vid explains how.
I am now level 49; this rank system sucks
i hope they implement some sort of ban system for leaving competitive simply because whenever you lose a single player it throws the entire match for your team and you still take full loss penalty and if your on the other team you only get a fraction for winning, its simply bullshit
