Wouldn't be surprised if there's some sort of activity qualifier built in, but more than a game a day seems pretty harsh. I haven't played WoW in forever, but wasn't it like 5 rounds a week for Arena ranking?
Also, best kill cam ever.

We'll see. I've been on call this week so I haven't really tried to dig into Overwatch for fear of work will page me when I'm focused on it and will have to leave prematurely due to work to investigate a process failure.
actual potg today (I'm the roadhog)
So I tried Mercy today in a game.
Never again...
Finally tried competitive today. Went 5-5 to get my rank (49). Lose the next 3 games and I'm now 46. 2 of them were against a team 1 level higher than our's.
Elaborate? There's a lot of reasons one could say this.
I will say there is a slightly annoying QoL bug for Mercy in the current patch (acknowledged by Blizzard) where swapping beams has a slight delay and requires facing the target as if applying for the first time. Like if I'm healing Soldier and switch to dmgbuff and Dva is in front of him as I'm looking I'm gonna end up buffing Dva. It's a little annoying. Swapping beams is supposed to be instantaneous and not require facing.
Mercy also sucks ass in solo queue most of the time because you have to deal with the scum of the earth begging for heals from every direction while also running away from you. Nobody will ever die together for a decent rez and as soon as they fall to half health they will enter kamikaze mode and consider their life forfeit. Plus at least on PS4 everyone wants to play all flankers or all snipers so you don't always get those great Mercy buddies like Soldier or Pharah. Or even a 2nd support or 1st/2nd tank. Oh and nobody ever covers your back so Reaper/Tracer/Genji/etc will always have your ass on speed dial. So get used to shooting them yourself. Which brings me to...
Finally, at a certain point, one's Mercy play really needs to also include the gun (which is basically just slower RoF DVA pilot gun) because sometimes buffing the dmg of someone who will never hit anything or anyone you want them to will accomplish less than doing it yourself. I joke with Wulf and friends that Mercy is a hard counter to Bastion and Torb because they just love to hold still and let me kill them from full to dead in no time flat.
When reaper can't hit you at point blank:

Yes, I'm a weeab.
so thats what i look like when i play reaper
I just don't get people. I tried some placement matches and am now 1-5. Three of the losses people dropped, one while we were winning. The forth we had great team comp and I was lucio. About a minute in I check our team because I notice our Reinhardt is gone and EVERYONE had swapped to lucio after the game started. What the actual fuck.
Fifth loss we were all on headsets and communicating and it was a constant tug of war with excellent plays on both ends and even though we lost it was the most fun I've ever had playing overwatch. Sadly that one was my first match and got my hopes up for competitive before the other shit shows happened.
Get ready to keep on tumbling. Started at 54 and am now 48.
I did have a good experience in solo Q this morning. Went 2-2 and ended up exactly where I started; that is a good day. Some people are unable to adapt in this game. Good WM on the other team shooting behind a Rein shield? Well I'm just going to sit on Toblerone despite never setting up a LV2 turret the entire game outside the start. You get killed as Bastion 3x in one spot? I'm going to keep going back to that exact spot; they'll never see it coming. In the last game, I was silver on damage and eliminations as Zen. Like come on dudes; fucking shoot something.
I would pay money for a stellar Zarya on my team. They seem to only exist on the other team; half the time I play Zen is to counter the inevitable Graviton + Dragon/DragonBlade/etc team kill.
Got into a competitive match (attack) with two reinhardts who kept just rushing in and exploding in 30 seconds, while one kept saying "stupid americans!"
Then we had three symmetras for defense. God help me.
well, at least they picked the appropriate mode to try and stack symmetras. i've had a number of matches (granted, this is in QP) where 2-3 sym's can be oppressive as hell. i still see tons of players that will just sit there and take a charged orb to the face because they're hiding behind a shield. i suppose against an attacking team of at least average intelligence it's probably a lot less effective.
but the reality is i pretty much always end up on the wrong side of 'hey guys lets do 2 symmetra 2 torb and a widowmaker on attack!'
Feels like whenever you pick Torb the other team is used to your shit and knows precision aim but whenever they play Torb the rest of your team just stands there and gets killed by turret for free.
Replace Torb and anything Torb related with any hero in the game. It's true for all of them. I actually almost consider The Hanzo Main to be a little less harmful than some others because at least I guess they get killed a little less.
I keep wanting to experiment with offense heroes I haven't played much of yet but seems like all the time I end up picking Zen instead (because I don't like Lucio and want a break from Mercy) and then some guy will switch to Lucio and then right back to someone else. Solo Zen is a bad time.
Not sure if you were in the chat yesterday when I said it, but in one of the PUBs I joined for placement I got Silver kills as Reinhardt on an Attack Map.
Also had one match each where we had a Symmetra/Torb on our team for Attack. Defense is fine, but why on attack?
Also not sure if I was grouped with a premade team, but for most of the PUBs I joined, it seemed like I was the only one in the Team Voice Channel. I think the most I saw in there at one point was 3, including me. Unless they're in Group/PSN chat, they should be in Team Chat even if they don't have a mic. Even then, I feel like they should be in team chat for competitive if they entire team isn't in the group.
