Man Viv is worse than Spicyryan. How is such a thing even possible?
Wonder if the new Unity Trusts are going to change things up as far as people jumping back and forth?
Are those going in with this update, or is it a "coming soon" deal again?
How is the cost to change unities calculated?
First time I had to pay 11k Accolades (and I expected it to be 10k).
Thist time I had to pay 15k Accolades.
What does it depend on?
The current rank of the Unity you're switching to and the difference between that unity and yours determines the cost. Switching from last place to first place being the most expensive.
Makes sense considering switching home nations depends on the current rank of that nation since last tally, it being most expensive to go a rank 1 nation.
Just did Bakunawa in Sea Serpent Grotto, pops and will do maelstorm which pops 2 adds whenever it does this. Not sure if the adds have any effect when killed. Would say a capped pdt PLD with ochain is highly recommended. He can take swings like an kclub (rounds up to 8 swings it seemed like) which is super dangerous when mighty strikes is up. The mighty strikes animation seems to reset hate on his target too. Seems to do mighty strikes every 25% hp just eyeballing it, light or dark skillchains seem to white proc it maybe killing the mighty strikes effect? Just had PLD pop it and super tank Bakunawa and his 2 Kanavid adds. PLD died at end but I managed to tank last 25% hp on RDM since mighty strikes wasn't up. Regeneration is potent and undispellable without Stymie probably, elemental seal didn't work. Think his evasion boost might overwrite Distract 3, but wasn't sure. We tried killing adds but their hate just goes all over the place, they frequently went right for the healer and was hard to pull off, so might be best to just ignore them entirely unless someone figures out if killing them does something.
Did it spawn 2 each time that added up or max 2?
max 2
Tried the tonberry in uggalepih, seems to have 25% mechanics too, at start will summon 3 elementals which seem to be a pain and go all over the place, though maybe we hit them by accident. At 25% it did AF, double carby AF searing lights, everyone but me died. Managed to get it down again and it killed me with same searing lights at next 25%. BRD or SMN probably good to bring for this for severe damage protection but.. since its double AF it might still be a problem. In full DT equip each searing light did ~900 HP damage. It also did tonberry's grudge and not rancor, though maybe could use rancor at low hp?
Slime in Bostaunieux is pretty easy, low physical damage (maybe by half to a third normal) but takes heavy magic damage. Has draw in and a long charge time on fluid spread but is stunnable. Shadows work for avoiding everything except digest. Fluid toss can do a ton of damage though if it hits you without dt equipment. Can just bring someone to magic burst probably.
Just tried this thing, tried with 2 PLDs, I went /rdm to try diaga the elements away for aoe nukes but of course its shared hate. First 10% or so it did AF with 3 Carby, everyone but PLDs and some RNGs died. As we were recovering, it did AF again with 3 Carby again, this proceeded to kill everyone besides the PLDs. With everyone still down me and the other PLD just tried to see how long we could live. was around 75% or so and it finally killed us both with its 4th AF. Didn't go full 18, 2 PLD, 3-4 relic RNGs, 2 COR, 1 WHM, 1 BRD, 1 RDM, 2 BLMs.
Did you try killing eles?
Yeah, we killed 2 or 3 rounds of eles. They were different types so AOE single type wouldn't have been effective. It was around this point where the RNGs started to go crazy and started AFing. Could be linked to the fact that the BLMs could kill all the ele's before it was dropped a chunk of HP.
The triple Searing Light are time based, not %. If you kill it fast enough, it won't have the time to use it. You can survive AF easily with EA and Scherzo (strangely, Attunement+Vex+Light Carol II didn't worked for us).
Spoiler: show
The elementals are really troublesome sometimes... How fast they repop if we kill them?
Anybody knows which NM drops the H2H?
What does EA stand for?
Here are my observations on new NM
Bakuzawa
bathy choker common
demersal degen quite rare (haven't seen it yet but it makes logical sense to drop from this NM)
vidmapire
fi follet cape
add. effect silence?
magic sucks on it
gains shadows after something
Mhuufya
need to kill both colibri and mamool. colibri regains full hp when mamool pops, making it a long fight.
zwazo earring
mdomo axe
Centurio
kentarch belt
cohort cloak
garbage gel
has draw in when it does fluid spread
emeici
EA= Earthen Armor, I'd guess.
Sea Serpent Grotto guy is pretty easy providing you don't touch the adds. PLD supertank works well, and SMN was useful for Rolling Thunder and such. The neckpiece seemed to be a rarer drop than sword, but random is random I guess. We did quite a few runs yesterday, using PLD THF DNC RNG SMN WHM RDM COR and I think a couple BST. Maelstrom also inflicts STR down and somewhere in there was an Avoidance Down as well.
Volt Strike hurt the heck out of it, as did Thunderstorm. Dispels didn't work on Hard Membrane or Regeneration, even using Saboteur.
Much like every other UNM, skillchains and MB make the fight end fast.
Spoiler: show
I can confirm Degen is from Bakuzawa, although we had 5 degens and 2 chokers in 10 kills. =b
Has it been confirmed that there's a common and a rare drop? I always assumed the drops were both rare.
