The catch?

Madison Square Garden will still host the Big East Tournament in 2018. The Big Ten Tournament will be held the week prior, with the Big Ten title game coming the Sunday prior to Selection Sunday. (The Big East Tournament will culminate on its traditional date, the Saturday night prior to Selection Sunday).

That seems like a big price to pay just to hold the tournament in MSG. If they're stuck on NYC, the Barclays Center would probably work. Is it really advantageous for teams to have the better part of two weeks off right before the tournament? Or maybe they'll go out and schedule a bunch of Ivy League teams for that week...

kentucky starter Alex Poythress has a torn ACL. I'm actually a bit peeved about this he's a player i liked. Good talent that actually stuck around and didn't jump straight to the league.
