CoD YOUR TIME HAS COME!

CoD YOUR TIME HAS COME!
My only regret is that I haven't finished my 2nd Rising Sun for dual wield CoD.
I reallllly want a Luneth, but would settle for a Refia (I guess) and getting my CoD to lvl 100. I already have rising sun, and I'm working on dual wield. And with 2 trust moogles this month, plus the fact that the event is single-run only, I should be able to complete that first DW in pretty short order. What's going to bite me in the ass is that I only have ~20 of each 6* awakening mats, and I really don't want to farm 60 more of them (15 more pro runs I guess isn't that bad?).
edit: I got a bunch of CoD during facebook event and combined all but 2... opinions on whether should I level both of those since I'm not likely to pull a Luneth (or any other 5* DPS)?
I'll grab mats to awaken CoD, Luneth and Refia if possible. Hopefully RNG will be kind enough to give me a Refia at least but after that lucky Lightning pull I don't know lol.
I've got the mats for CoD, but I don't have any gigantaurs saved up.
So to increase to 6* one of each (luneth, refia, cod):
20 Fairy Writ
30 Prismatic Horn
25 Calamity Gem
20 Calamity Writ
40 Rainbow Bloom
15 Divine Crystal
I'll need to farm ~30 more. Pro gives enough for ~4 mats, so I only need about 8 runs.
Of course, the act of farming for them will ruin my luck for actually getting them.
I'll be at 60 of all 6* mats in about an hour. Figure with a little under 1.5 days, can add 10 to each. Though I might just ignore the crystals and double up on writs or something.
Nice stash, Arus. I have enough mats to Awaken 3 out of 4 of CoD, Refia, Luneth, and Bartz right now. If my math is right, I'll have enough candy corn from 8 more runs to do all of them.
It's super wishful thinking regarding Luneth, but I'd rather be prepared now, then aggravated later. Especially since the ff3 event won't have a moogle shop.
Cant make up my mind what to do, looking for some advice. I've been going with Fencer, Chizuru x2, WoL and Lenna as my main team. With all the 6star upgrades I'm wondering if I should switch out WoL and one Chizuru for Cecil (tank one) and Vaan? Don't have TM gears just a few crafted stuff and event items. And now with CoD getting to 6, got no idea how to setup new party. Only thing with CoD is I don't have a good weapon for it. Any thoughts would be helpful. Don't have any worthwhile casters to throw into the mix either.
CoD may be the one to swap if you don't have a decent weapon. Did you not get the 60 attack mace from that one event?
I have Rising Sun from Locke TM, so CoD will probably be in my group for a long time.
Bartz is probably getting the boot from my party. I have enough materials to upgrade Pecil to 6 star and he has considerably more attack. I'm also half done with barrage TM, which he can equip. He basically can tank on top of out DPS'ing Bartz, with emergency cures on deck as well. Seems like a win all around. (bartz with 95 base attack. 5/6 star pecil w/ 97/126 base attack repsectively; then with a 70% chance to cover w/ 50% damage mitigation when he's lv 100)
Nope that's about when I started playing. Kinda wish I had.
I'm in the same boat, missed the mace from a few events ago. I think werebuster is the best bet because it gives beast killer which is pretty common. Either way her base attack is going to be pretty high so still better than most 5* barrage users.
I usually put her in a mage party with cecil to chain thundaga with golbez, Kefka and tellah. Cecil uses focus then guard and everything pretty much melts. She has access to mage gear, give her diablos to stack man eater and mag is pretty decent.
Anyway that's my plan until we get the trial mace, but with protectga, aoe ensuna and aoe element resist she has some great utility

From what I've read, there's a trial weapon coming eventually called Thorn Mace which is 72atk and maneater. It's a great weapon for CoD
Does that maneater stack with her passive? Because that'd be insane lol.
It should from what I understand... they should stack if they come from different sources.
Yep. CoD can end up with 275% extra damage to humanoids with:
Base 50%
6* 75%
Mace 50%
Diabolos 50%
Materia (200 SQs) 50%
There was a new high speed macro posted on reddit, and OMG does it spam TMs quickly, but of course that means it eats lapi like crazy as well.
I started running it before I went to work last night and now my Zidanes have already reached 79.2% and 56.1%. It's crazy how quickly it cycles through even with pretty terrible connection speed a lot of the time.
I'm looking forward to popping CoD back in the main team tomorrow. I need to farm up another Rising Sun though for some DW action.
I may start running that macro; right now my macro uses exit and Pecil gets a LB point roughly 75% of the time. He's about 80 from lvl 10, then I can upgrade to 4*. I may put that project on hold for a while and use the ultrafast macro to pump out my first set a little faster.

Fun math on cost of using the new ultrafast macro (this assumes it takes a full 45 seconds to run; obviously these numbers are different if you're on the lower end of the 35-45 second estimate claimed in the thread):
At the amazon cost of $41 for 8500 lapis, that comes out to ~$.494 per 100-lapis refill. I'm rank 67 presently, so I get 77 NRG per fillup.
I'm going to assume that we do NOT do our dailies other than the story one we get automatically (really, if you're going to spend this much on lapis, you don't give a shit about 50 daily, and spending time running eshrine exploration is just inefficient). I'm also going to assume we waste 1hr per day resetting the macro, cleaning inventory, crafting, colosseum, whatever.
23 hrs per day nets you 1840 runs. We are given 293 NRG per day (288 plus the 5NRG from the one daily). That leaves 1547, or just a hair over 20 fillups in a day. It will take ~5.5 days to get from 0 to 100. This comes out to 109 lapis fillups, at a total cost of ~$54 for those 5 TMs.
This is arguably a better use of resources than pulling 21 more shadows ... but with the FF3 banner upcoming, it's a tough call. You've got a direct upgrade to the top mage, top healer, and every DPS after lightning. It is ridiculous to not pull on this banner given the utility of 3 of the 4 characters on it.
TL;DR: If you are lvl 67, it will cost you about $54 to run 5 units from 0 to 100% in about 5 and a half days. Best case scenarios: 35 second macro running 24/7, we can run 2468 runs in a day. It will take ~4 days, but only cost a couple dollars more: $56.50.
Any tips for beating Pumpking Reaper Pro?
I have one more day to do it and I haven't been successful yet. Physical team pref since I don't have a mage squad yet
