I'm still running Kefka for Boo! and hyperdrive. Lunneth and DW CoD (alternate between rising sun, golem staff, and thorn mace) are mopping the floor with bladeblitz/hit all. Cecil douchebaggery plus an HP-capped refia (6k HP from pots and bonus this week!) are the other two.

I had a few fights today vs high ranking people with, for example, a Gilgamesh or Lightning set as their leader. Then I'd start the fight and it'd be against either their tm farming team, or I guess whatever weaklings they were currently using.

I love when people forget to set a dedicated party for Arena.

I see what you guys have been saying about how bad this event is. Beat elite, ran it a 2nd time and got 96 gears that pretty damn bad. Prolly gonna grind it a bit even though I don't want too because 6star exdeath too sexy not too.

Even with like, a full synergy party (75% x 6) you're looking at.. +450%? so... like at best 550(100 + 450 Bonus unless im bad at math and i am) a run if you don't get a Cactaur(which, you won't). This event is extreme trash with a huge grind attached. Apparently they even increased the price of some items as opposed to the JP version of this event.. without increasing the reward as well as JP getting this event much sooner (relative to launch)...

Its just a mess...

I'm pretty sure Japan did not have drop rate bonuses from event units when this event dropped which is probably why the prices have been increased (they also didn't have tickets or infinite 6* mats). It's still trash but not as crazy as it seems at first glance, they've just done a poor job adjusting the whole thing.

Also the global exclusive abilities are not from those weapons:

-Vanille gets "Keep it Up" at 75: 3 turns ST 30% HP Reraise buff, 20 MP;
-Sazh gets "Gun Master" at 75: 20% extra attack with guns;
-Fang gets "Lady Luck" at 78: 15% ATK/DEF passive;
-Hope gets screwed.

No, the weapons are different... cause Vanille gets an AoE magic attack, and Sazh got some damage thing.

Edit: Oh, or are you saying the weapons/abilities were in the JP version and those you listed are the only new ones... that makes more sense.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. The weapons might be GL exclusives as well, not sure though.

First world problem: ludmille is at 99.7%. So I'm going to bench him in favor of somebody that's not close. But that means I have to run 30 more fights at some point before I get my dualcast.

Arena matchups have been kind of weird for me the last couple of days. It's mostly giving me opponents who are ranked much, much higher (up to 8000 ranks difference) but only has a 1.05-1.1 ratio. Can't make any gains and they are all significantly better teams than I have. Odd.

Yeah, I haven't gotten many over 1.15, myself. I'm guessing they didn't like people hitting the milestones without cash dumping. At this rate, since I'm not setting my schedule around 5 hour dumps, I'll be surprised if I hit 30k by the end of the month.
