How often does a friend refreshes?
How often does a friend refreshes?
Ugh, is ELT Gilgamesh even doable without a tank?
Also, now that my Refia has Embolden, Ramza seems to really have lost his shine (still 5*). Am I missing something?!
Friend list refresh every 2hrs or so.
Gilgamesh ELT is going to be rough without a tank I'd think.
Thanks, but I don't think I'd have enough damage without a strong friend unit to outlast Gilgamesh.
I think your CoD with multiple maneaters (or at least I think that was you) would be best for Gilgamesh, but I'm not sure I could reach him without some reliable way to one-shot everything on the way.
I'll set CoD for you. Alternatively, I can set WoL with hybrid dps gear if you need a full breaker.
Edit: CoD is set. I can equip Minerva Bustier if you want more def/spr, but I think she's tanky enough on her own.
How do you guys prioritize your energy use early on in the game? I am Rank 16 with 26 Energy to spend and most of my energy is spent on leveling.
I have so far
5* Lv.47 Gilgamesh
5* Lv.43 Vanille
4* Lv.43 WoL
3* Lv.40 Artemios
3* Lv.40 Faris
Also, I have these so far:
4-Star: Sabin, Anzelm, Miyuki
3-Star: Anastasis, Vivi, Clyne, Zidane, Medius, Celes, Lenna, Lani, Sazh
2-Star: Rain, Lasswell, Eldin, Rizer, Leah, Paula
Are any of the above I should be focusing on for purposes of progressing with the story line and/or use on Arena/Colosseum?
Also, as someone who likes to collect stuff, do we have inventory to be able to have at least one of each character?
Early on I spent my NRG on raising rank and bringing level up units with me. I'd level up Lenna as well in case you need 2 healers for some sort of content. Can pretty much ignore everyone else you have listed outside of the people you have in your team. (maybe level Rain because he will get the FB along with a 6* which would be better than Faris)
I've expanded my unit inventory to 205. Idk how big it gets. I have duplicates of a lot of characters but I lack a lot of units cause I'm FTP.
From what I understand, duplicates should be kept only if that character has TM and to be leveled together with your main to be used as fodder to fuse to get TM increase. It's hard to pull the trigger sometimes on dupes cause you never know if they will ever add a TM or increase the rank.
I recommend friending as many people on here as you can, a lot of us are getting pretty strong so we can carry you. Get as far in time limited events as you can, Big Bridge ends very soon and Hanging Edge has one more week.
This weekend is a great exp event, Cactuar Dunes, where you might want to drop some lapis for refreshes(Or not, you don't have very high max stamina, up to you.). The Dunes averages 45k ish xp per run.
Between events, focus on the story.
I agree with Mina, Lenna is great. Level her for sure, she's better than Vanille. Rain also should be getting his 6* form soon, which makes him into an above average support unit.
Bring on the invites!!

I added you.
As the others have said, I always focused on ranking up while exping units when I was lower rank. There is really no better thing to work on until you have a higher rank and have high stamina, that way lapi refreshes are worthwhile. Once you have finished everything else, then is the time to start thinking about min/maxing with TMs.
FYI Unit capacity maxes out at 500, materials at 200, and friends at 130.
I decided to drop my last few(7) tickets on the ff5 banner in hopes of Gilgamesh. I didn't get Greg, but I got a nice consolation prize.
Agrias. Fuck yeah. I pulled nothing else of value, but man I'm happy with the results.
Best Rank EXP seems to be coming from exploration maps it seems. At least according to this guide. Are any of the events worth looking into besides that?
Explorations are the best exp/nrg, but take an eternity to finish. 15-20 minutes to clear a zone.
I'd use a strong friend unit to clear up to at least the 3rd difficulty of the Big Bridge, 4th if you can, since there's some one time rewards from there. It's accessible from the vortex.
After that, see if you can clear Hanging Edge. 100 of the Trochoid(sp?) Gears that drop from the mobs there can be exchanged for 1 Metal Gigantuar at King Mog in the Farplane. Use the Gigantuar to enhance a unit of your choosing for 30k exp per. You can purchase 100 of them. After that, get as many summon tickets as you can before the event ends so you can build up your team and try to get better and better units.
I wouldn't work on the Hanging Edge event until Lightning gets the bonus in a couple days. With just one Lightning friend it will double the amount of gears you would normally get.
I know I will be swapping my friend unit over to Lightning at that time, and she should (in theory) be able to clear the elite version by herself.
edit: I actually just tested it, sadly Lightning is not good enough to completely solo ELT with no help.
If anyone has my old account (055,914,179) on their FL, it has been abandoned and replaced with 013,661,000
