Going thru and doing my list of things to buy on this event... that craftable fist (winged saint) looks like garbage, or am i missing something?

It's nothing amazing, but it's a decent ATK/DEF item and the only better fist is Xiao TM (101 ATK WIND) but, again, it's a fist... Not sure if it's worth 9300 gears, either.

Finally got Maxwell's TM. Gilgamesh is finally over 700ATK! Right now I stuck a dragon killer on him for those that need help with 2headed dragon. I'll change back to +atk later.

Got Max to 5* to use to farm the event. Aren't gaff and charlotte pretty useless? I have them both but doubt I'll be leveling them any time soon. Of course that doesn't include gaff's TM, which I just started on.

Gaff is useless, yes. I'm just a sucker for the character. Maxwell's 6* looks pretty good, like a holy based CoD, and Charlotte just got her 6* form plus enhancements in jp which seem pretty good.

I'm honestly just futureproofing myself way too far in advance. I know it, I just can't help myself.

Why did they even put the temp event drops as Daily quest requirements in the first place? Seems incredibly poorly thought out.

Have a decent unit now. 478 atk Bartz. Also got Exdeath to 100, he's over 400 magic. CoD is also 6* now, not leveled yet but on the way.

Been running the event with 2 or 3 useless bonus whores depending on my friend unit since aside from wave 1, Bartz can reliably kill the event bosses. Getting 500+ every run is nice. Got 6 of the 10 tickets, and all the cactaurs. Really appreciate the double dates.

In trying to figure out what's the best thing for Bartz in terms of damage. His Wind barrage is 10 hits with dual wield and that's better than barrage as it has a 4.0 mod which is .4 or .8 I forget higher than Barrage.

His best ability is 5.4 but it's hybrid. He has 478 attack and 250 magic. With cheer and focus would the hybrid be better or the wind barrage? Idk how that works at all I just know people say hybrid is really hard to gear for or just generally doesn't work

Been throwing my lapis at cactuars to 100 Lightning. Gimpish, far as TMs go, but still better than anything I had before. My 3 Miyukis will certainly be getting pushed once the farming ends, and I guess maybe Maxwell and the lone Gafgarion I pulled? Could also do my Mustadio army and put a pistol on her. Seems like Chizuru is now my white whale, however.

With my Lightning and the Lightnings on my friends list I got a good 7k gears with the NRG I have and one metal cactuar. Going to be a lot easier to grind these gears now.

Unless you're stacked with TMs to boost Bartz's att and mag simultaneously, Gale Barrage is the winner. And you can buff it's damage with your farm chars by using Imperil from an Esper. I think Imperil is -20% all resistances, even if it's less, it's "free" damage.

Unless you're stacked with TMs to boost Bartz's att and mag simultaneously, Gale Barrage is the winner. And you can buff it's damage with your farm chars by using Imperil from an Esper. I think Imperil is -20% all resistances, even if it's less, it's "free" damage.

Thats what I thought... I was trying to test it myself and it seemed like GaleBarrage was the clear winner. Its a really good move so I don't mind.. 4.0x2 with Dual Wield is pretty brutal for a 3* base unit.

Nice. Tried 2 headed dragon and wasn't able to get down fast enough with a snow helper. When my good luneth friend repop I'll try again. Yeah was thinking about pro spam. It's 10 energy for 150-185 gears. I'd have 4 of the 6 helpers, so prolly a 250 percent boost if I added it right.

I was running pro earlier today with my Luneth for damage, 2x Hope, Fang, Vanille (all bonus chars unleveled), and picking up a Lightning or Snow from friends. Ended up getting 2 cactuars back to back and cleared nearly 10k gears in 5-6 tuns lol.

One thing to keep in mind is it's the highest +defense for a weapon. I dunno how true it is but I saw some rumblings on reddit that JPs go as far as equipping tanks other than WoL (has fists by default) with equip fists materia to make use of it. I'm skeptical of it's uses, but makes sense to want an extra 10%~ defense from a slot that likely doesn't matter much for your tank.

There is, but most will be running with max units so blindly sending invites can result in a lot of "flist full fuck off" prompts. Best thing to do is just pop in and say you need friends every so often so people notice. Times like that, makes me wonder if this sub forum should turn into what FFRK is and have a dozen+ active topics with events, pulls, flist, unit reviews, etc threads.

What are people's thoughts on going through the effort to level a second Exdeath? I have 3 of them (at least), and I don't really know that any other nukers will be significantly better before I could level and gear up another one. I just haven't seen much content yet that really requires a mage party, so i don't really know whether to bother. Same with CoD, I have 3 or 4, but her TMR sounds pretty useless, and I don't want to constantly have to struggle to keep two of her geared up.

Hes the best nuker in the game atm, so two of him would be better than him and another nuker, but thats up to you. IDK how long til he's replaced or if he even is.

Cleared Two-Headed Dragon, still haven't beat the Flower though. Anyway, my MVP was Bartz dual wielding with a Twin Lance... 4 hit auto attack yay. I brought Ajax with me, but you were pretty useless on this fight cause I didn't realize you had an elemental weapon equipped so you were doing like 5k a turn , still won NP, only 2 deaths. team was

P.Cecil (100) - Provoke, Immune to Silence (White Cape)
Bartz (100) - Auto murderer - Dual Wield, 448~Attack, Enhancer+Twin Lance
Lenna (80) - Cheer, Cures. Wish I had another cape.
Mustadio(80) - My only other good DPS lol
Fina (80) - Second Cheer, back up healer. Only had 1,900 HP and lived til the last 3 turns by dumb luck.
Lightning (100) (Ajax) - Morale support

Um, reset works on him too I found out by accident due to a crash... SO I mean... if you don't want to be swallowed you can S/L it. But its not needed... at all, just defend when he uses Boost and It'll only do like 800~1k damage, bring 10 Blindna and Silencena Items, you can buy them in the Item shop in the Aquapolis place on the latest map, probably earlier, it was just easier for me to go there. Remedy's are a good back up but I only used about 8-9 of Each item since I only needed to Silena 2 people and bLindna 3 people (or less).

Fight is much easier than that prick flower. I'll try the flower when Ajax bro switches back to Gilgamesh when the event ends... he might get me closer to win but they just... the confusion is horse shit.

He gets replaced by Trance Terra and Majin Fina and doesn't match Majin Fina until he gets enhancements (which he just got in JP). That's for SP, idk shit about Arena. still not a bad unit to invest in since he always remains upper to top tier

All righty. I imagine Fina is a Story character so only 1 of her.. is Trance Terra a 5*+ Unit?

Either way, Unless you're running 3+ mages, ExDeath+Fina will probably fill your spots nicely if you can't sport a Terra with this information. But IDK how far away this Fina is :\, so I'd say go for it. 2 Exdeath will last you until Story Fina or you get lucky on a Terra.

Yah, I've seen her, why I figured it was a Storyline thing... but considering her story I guess its not surprising.
