Yah, I wonder if they're going to be servicable or not. Medius is pretty shit tier cause one of his passive skills is "kill me lol", which works great on a tissue paper DPS right? GreenMagelady has a very tiny niche but she already is fucking unparalleled in that niche, I imagine she can only get better.

Now that I have lvl 100 Gilgamesh, Lightning, Exdeath, Refia and Cecil, what kind of unit should I be looking to level next in order to clear content and stuff? Second tank and second healer?

I have Roselia, Lenna and Snow sitting there, and Ramza and Bartz @ 6* in the mid 50s. My only capped FB unit is Vaan, but I have Agrias, Faris and Ingus as well. Also a capped Arc for whatever it's worth.

I did three personally. There's no immediate use to my third one, but I didn't want to find myself with a need for a third and have to make a choice of who to skimp on. As you said, Refia and Cecil are the ones who get the most out of it at the moment. There was a short stint where I was too lazy to regear a CoD outfitted for DW Sunbeam in arena with status effect attacks banned that I just threw DC on her and did 2x Thundaga.

I echo everything Malithar says about the Ludmilles.
I'd say most people can find use out of 2 dual casts, the 3rd one is iffy as most good units in the future will come with their own dual cast/dual magic. No more than 3 is ever necessary though.

Not counting the high priced Trust moogle/Materias, are Earrings still the best thing to blow star quartz on? I have 2 for my Exdeath. I have Arc/Kefka/Golbez/Terra/Krile all capped for mages too but Exdeath is my primary.

I suspect that giant rank list is PvP akin to arena. aka no chance in hell for non-whales to break top 3k or whatever. Otherwise, we get the basic stuff like the equipment and maybe some incremental rewards like tickets and shit they didn't list.

Hate teams like that. Fought a 4 Noct 1 Cecil team yesterday that I'm almost sure had Ribbon + 20 Sided Die on each member.

I'd save them personally. Not that earrings aren't a good accessory, but more that a stronger mage isn't helpful enough in the grand scheme of things. Getting man-eater materia or other useful unique gear with status immunities or effects makes a bigger difference IMO.

So much rage on reddit over the raid announcement and rewards. One thing to keep in mind that we don't have details on yet is the community based rewards. While most are locked out from the higher ranked rewards, we might get a lot of rewards based on community participation and personal rank advancement. We'll have to wait and see what those rewards end up being to really know how good the event will be.

Got trolled by a noctis earlier. I've killed the 5x and 4x+cecil teams. Took this guy on thinking "ok np, only 1 noctis". My team does about 8k dmg aoe per turn, cecil cover notwithstanding. First round, his team goes first (always dicey), all his units use herpaderp moves (damage warp, woo!). I unload on him. Noctis survives with 5% HP due to all his dodging. Then he proceeds to heal 4 or 5 times, getting back to 80%. Round 2 I go first, just mash repeat (he's just at 80%, no cover, no problem). He again gets to 5% (just DIE goddammit). He goes, uses fire flask, disables everybody but Luneth, who counters and gets him to a bare sliver. Then he goes again and uses thunder flask. Then, with my entire team stopped/slept/whatever, he uses fire flask again.

Fuck that guy.
