Ideally you'll be going for dualcast which definitely makes that 2nd Refia useless. I don't think you'll really need it for anything until you get dualcast either.

Someone was just commenting on pulling their first Bartz. I have 5 fucking Bartz, because this game hates me and only wants to drop attackers. I can't pull a Refia to save my fucking life. Refia is honestly the only real reason I've been pulling at all. The Noctis and 3 extra Chizuru are just bonus.

I remember why I love reading BG threads, they aren't filled with people whining they didn't pull 5* off their dailies. Grats on your Refia. Her and Cecil are the two units who are still at the top of their game even now in the JP meta. There are more units that are on par with them but none just straight replace and kick them down out of the meta entirely. :D

Since there's no event, I've just been grinding TMs the last few days. I have 3 pecils, but I think I may be crazy and just long grind them to get 3 excali rather than combine them.

I'm basically just letting a macro run the TM farm, and doing a round of colleseum every 5 hrs (Just made it to within 30k ranking thank god. I missed 3 days last weekend at the anime convention so I started really behind)

Yesterday was Faris and someone else. Wouldn't have minded Faris, but Agrias seems like a more solid full breaker.

On the other hand, after crafting more attack materia, my damage squad's coming together nicely: CoD's sitting on decent enough attack for not being a DW, Luneth's above 500. I'm sure once I snag some megacrysts, I can craft some hero rings (just been rocking hyper wrists for now).

Same here, was so fucking happy, game has been beyond generous since I came back, first Exdeath, first Chizuru, first full break unit (Ingus), first Cecil, and now first Refia.

That makes my 300~ pulls seem so minor. It's worrisome that 5*s can even be that rare. We all know it's 1%~ for a rainbow, but there should really be some sort of bad luck protection every 50-100ish pulls. At least going forward most 4*s that are 6* capable are competitive enough that you don't NEED 5*s, but it's still annoying to likely miss out on some classic characters that you may really want, useful or not.
