The way I'd look at it is, DW would benefit any unit while Excal would only benefit specific units.

I saved all my TM moogles for when I eventually got a DW unit, it's just one of the best TMs out there.

Dual wield is awesome and game changing. What else is in your TM farming team that you can swap for it? Excalibur is good, but even on Luneth you'd optimally have Blade Mastery and a katana. Even Masamune would add more atk than Excal.

Zidane - Dual Wield
Chizuru - Blade Mastery
Maxwell - Power of Creation
Cecil - Excal

Beyond that, good stuff, but nothing game changing? Agrias has an ok weapon, Arc has Omnirod, Mustadio has a good weapon. Vanilla and Luneth have decent accessories. Hope has an..ok weapon if you actually use Hope (or wanted a casting oriented CoD); Xiao's knuckles could be good for 6* Firion..and the list goes on.

You *always* need another dualwield. I have luneth and lightning... and I'm probably benching both to run 2x gilgamesh and a noctis (in addition to mage-CoD and refia). I'd bring luneth back for an all-phys team, but right now I actually 2 more DW. I'm liking dual-sunbeam CoD plus dual-golem-staff-bladeblitz Refia a little too much, so that means I need 2 more DW. So I just put in 2nd gilg and 3rd zidane into the TM rotation.

edit: ok maybe not literally always. But until you have 5, you'll eventually want another one.

edit2: who would you guys use as primary/friend DPS? Noctis or Gilgamesh?

Hard call; I'm set with Noctis thanks to Ajax/Mrf and Mina, so another Gilgamesh is welcome. But for people who lack a strong Noct in their rotation and don't have a breaker of any type, he's great.

Gilg's TM Genji Glove gives DW. But I guess that really is for attackers whereas DW would be better mage side?

Also consider that Genji Glove is an accessory instead of an ability, which changes what other items you can slot in.

Honestly the type-0 banners introduce so much trash into our pulls ( . _ . ) the longer we put this off the better.

Excal doesn't benefit Luneth. He has to have a sword equipped, and his offhand is best with a katana and blade mastery.

Unless you're refilling energy with Lapis often, I don't think it is worth it to push for rank ups instead of reducing your TM backlog to zero.

This, I'll be basically done with my offensive ones that I care about after my next batch but I'll still work on defensive ones over doing other things.

2nd blade mastery finished, and that first sakura finally pushed gilg over 800atk. Waiting on deathbringer and bracer to finish, then I only need the next trials to htfu (+ATK, genji blade, gsword mastery)! At some point we get the ffxi banner with Werei who has a +40% gsword mastery as well.

Type-0 banners are simply delayed. A bunch of Type-0 skills have been datamined and these are likely all Global Exclusive skills for those units.
