Depends a lot on your current team. You can get through most of the current game with some decent lapis units like Edgar, Vivi, Shantotto, Cyan, etc + the main characters. If you've pulled one or more 5* high tier units, I'd just stockpile. I'd also recommend to not sweat using lapis towards upgrading unit/material/equipment slots. Units aren't bad for now, but wait until an EXP cactuar event rolls around and you'll find yourself wanting to stockpile lots.

If you're adverse to adding 300+ friends on FB (using your main FB account, for example) then adding friend slots is also a good investment.

Just looking through my characters, are any of these 3*'s not worth holding onto and leveling for any reason? I'm just wondering how much leeway I have on fuse material.

All characters are worth holding on to for working toward their TM, for Friend Point Pull units, you can feel free to fuse away duplicate units to build up their TM and free up unit space at the same time, alternatively you can level up the duplicates and sell for gil, for Lapis Pull units, you should keep duplicates and wait till you have enough for a full party of the same duplicate unit and then spam a 1 NRG dungeon to work on getting their TMs leveled faster.

Thanks. I have Exdeath, Vivi, and Edgar in my main crew along with the two mains. Might replace Laswell with the healer lady you get later.

How do TM's affect FP pulls? I assumed they were mostly 1* with the occasional 2* pulls. The same way lapis pulls were 3* and up.

Didn't say they affected them, I said you should save any units you get so you can build their TM. TM is a way to get very powerful gear/abilities.

This. Although not all TMs are worth grinding. Of the FPs, the ones that come to mind are:

Ollie - Aquan Killer
Skaha - Dragon Killer
King Giott - Stone Killer
Kenyu - Raging First
Liza - Lullaby
Carrie - Sunbeam
Rizer - HP+10%
Montana - Camouflage
Mizell - Deprotect

Most lapis pulls will have a TM of varying usefulness. Most 5*s give top tier equipment or really broken abilities/spells like Doublehand, Dual Wield, Excalibur, Holy, etc. Some give Equip X skills which can be ok, but are far from ideal. Ones that cap at 4 stars are hit and miss, ranging from useful spells like Esuna, -ga spells, Machine Killer, Counter, and Barrage, down to shit like Cover (only a 5% base), Cleanse, Drain, Throw, etc. There's also some decent equipment and abilities unlocks like Gungnir from Kain and MAG+30% from Shantotto.

Killer effects stack from all equipment, abilities, and espers so getting as many of those as you can is a very easy way to completely destroy some bosses. You'll get a handle on whats good and whats not. A good resource to see what's available is the Exvius Wiki.

Ok, not to sound derp or anything, but exactly how do these TM abilities help us? Because I'm going to assume you aren't taking a 5* character out of your party and replacing it with a 1* or 2* just for that 1 TM ability. What am I missing?

Trust Mastery: (TM)
Character specific rewards awarded when the unit is "Mastered" (Reaches 100%)
These rewards come in different forms: Equipments/Spells and Abilities and can then be equipped on other characters
There are no limits to how many TMs of any kind you can master

75 bucks for a set of golden armor (seems to be stats that we'll see next isle) and ATK+20%

God damn, hopefully this isn't how they're going to play this out. Most JP banner prices weren't like that, and the ones that were came with quite a bit more than what is on offer here, like the 10k Lapis gold equipment, 3 5* pulls, and +30% ATK. Looking forward to the reddit rage.

Japan paid for these with lapis actually. Was not even close to 7500yen worth either. They also got atk+30%, not 20.

Running as Bartz, Edgar, Rydia, Kain, Laswell. Just got enough Lapis to pull again, should this team be sufficient or should i keep pulling as i get lapis thru quests?

I know eventually I'll wanna stockpile for good rate-ups... just unsure about party makeup and other factors that go into this.
