Lightning is the best person to chain with Lightning. And with a friend unit, 3x Crushing Blow all chained up will be pretty awesome.

I also got a *5 Luka and Vanille x2 when nobody was watching. I think I mentioned all the other ones (Ramza, Lightning x2, Gilgamesh, Snow, Noctis, Delita, Dark Fina), though I believe Luka, Vanille and Snow are 4* base.

Sadly, still no Luneth.

I think Rain will be the only 6* FBer for a while. Snow can be ok (I guess) if for some reason you want to set up a counter party, but he's not very equip friendly, and Cerius will have situational uses.

I've gotten surprisingly a lot of mileage out of Mercedes. She's not weak, and she has Escape for explorations(I charge my limit breaks and esper bar, then flee everything otw to the boss). And with the global exclusive axe coming out with the SoM event, you'll have a good weapon for her.

Since we're getting the SoM event, that means we -might- get the DQ event(sup 105 sword + machine killer). hmmmmmmmmmm...

Honestly that's the best freebie I pulled. Had nothing but Shadow, Freya, Fran... you get the idea.

I've kinda given up on arena. For the first 2.5 months I was pretty consistent at placing in the top 3k. I wouldn't wake up midway through the night or anything like that, but I'd make it a point to quickly burn orbs during breaks at work, it was part of the reason I pushed for Noctis. With an abundance of evade specced out units though in the top ranks, a quick 30~ second match can quickly turn into a 5 minute drag, and then I'm capping on orbs cause I don't want to devote more time to it. I've settled with being in the top 30k~ and just burning orbs on Colosseum at work to work towards the trophy.

Believe it or not, I don't do the arena anymore either. XD
I am set for where I am and even the call of trust moogles doesn't work because, ehhhh I'm at the point anyways I can just tmr farm. *shrug* XD and getting ****'d by evasion builds by people who have the tmr and spare units to use them on is mehhhh. XD

I still do arena like twice a day but I'm throwing in more coliseum to get that sword. I still get a use out of the MOG pots so it's nice to stay in the 30 to 90 range. I've got no chance in hell getting higher. Also did they skrew up and reset in the middle of the day? Cause the new one isn't supposed to start until the 3rd. It's still the 2nd where I am.

Def. seems like it switched early, but it also switched twice, I think.

Rules said something about forbidden water attacks and status ailments, and now it's air attacks and black magic.

I was about to burn my orbs to get back into the top 3k, and it switched on me.

I was like 3020.

Also, fuck no black magic... just put alterna and dualcast on ling!

I've only ever worried about placing in the top 30k and don't really care about lost orbs to a busy day. I generally just pick the top opponent on my list unless I know a person is running an evasion Noctis or Cecil that won't die; then I pick someone else to save time. I do agree it is getting ridiculous lately since I have been running into Cecils with evasion builds and just put it on auto and do something else. Only reason I have stuck with arena is the rewards. If you happen to be around your PC a lot, making a macro to pick your arena abilities helps.

Pulled for a bonus unit and walked away with Trey, Freya, Refia, and Primm in 4 pulls.

As for arena, I still try to keep up, and I'll do coliseum for the dailies. Gotta get that lapis
