I'm actually more irritated having quests I'm behind on, I got one quest that wants me to kill 3 Hill Gigas I have yet to see one in the entire game. And this one guy wants 8 white magicite from Fulan Pass exploratory dungeon, I've been spamming Fulan Pass 2/day for my daily exploratory quest for the past 3 days and still only 2/8. They seem to be really rare. :/

Hover over Towns and pick whatever town your quest is in and it'll show you info on where/how to complete it, for Hill Gigas, they are a rare enemy in the castle dungeons, so just pick the top floor of the castle and farm it.

If I'm not mistaken its 8 Lesser Magicite right? Honestly you can buy a Iron chest for 99c and it comes with 10 Lesser, Normal, Element Normal and Megacites... for 99c its pretty nice for leveling up your Espers and finishing that quest for you.

Also, i've noticed the Exploratory Dungeon in the Ice place before the ruins gives about 25k~28k Exp a run... its basically better than the 15s EXP Vortex as it only costs i think 11 Stamina? Only thing is it takes longer to do and requires your team to be reasonably leveled. But I can't see how a group of 40's would have a problem clearing that and getting the full exp from it.. plus you get the bonus of Gather points, gil, and a lot more "Rank up" EXP.

Hill Gigas spawn in the castle. I saw them in both stages 3 and 4, but they're on the rarer side.

Otherwise, I've noticed the some mob kills and item collections aren't always limited to suggested areas. Like, I have a quest at the moment asking for Pit Fiend kills in area 2 stages before the town you get it. Yet I'm seeing them in the area after said town, too, and they count. In the case of something like White Magicite, I wouldn't be surprised if it drops in the Esper flavor daily dungeon. I know I've got that one and another asking for a bunch of tiny/fragments, too. But yeah, a lot of the material fetch quests blow unless they ask for a really common mob drop. Latest wants me to get 16 raptor feathers. :/

I saw a Hill Gigas on the second map... I think on a mountain? I thought I did anyway

Hill Gigas appear a lot more often on the second island, so I wouldn't worry about doing that quest when you actually get it. Not worth the energy. The explorations after Phantom Forest are better unit exp per energy than vortex, like Karbuncle said, assuming you do enough random battles but they take more time. Phantom Forest is 1700/energy, Vortex is 2000/energy, and Lanzelt Ruins is 2700/energy.

Haven't checked up on JP dailies or rewards, do they have anything at all other than the 100 lapis? If you break down what's available to us, we're getting the equivalent of 4000 Lapis through 1500 dailies, 500 login, and 2k tickets. Toss in all the extras like the energy and that's hella nice in comparison.

afaik no, all they get is lapis and the daily reward calendar is unique to global. still the potential for them to fuck us over and give shit rewards for events but we'll see. hopefully this isnt just a launch month celebration thing too

inb4 $500 event units? I feel dirty just saying it. Granted, depending on your luck, $500 could be some massive savings. Hoping it's not a launch only bit, they had it going during the entirety of the soft beta, though the rewards were much less giving.

yeh meant the rewards being so good, im sure monthly calendar is here to stay, though I expect the calendars we had during pre release would be the standard since mobile game devs are never this nice to global users.

Up to 30 tickets though for Lightning, I'll prolly have 60-70 by the time she comes out if these rewards stick around.

ok well im starting over . was rerolling and in only 10 tickets got bartz, krile and terra. More importantly got some really good TM units - ultima, doublehand,barrage,mag+20%, dual wield(zidane)

Not sure how far you were, but I'd make that swap. Exdeath is great and all, but too many act like he's a golden ticket and nothing else matters. Zidane is ranked really low right now because his 5* just makes him the best stealer and nothing much else, Terra is a sort of weaker magic DPS with raise. Being main characters, they'll certainly get a 6* some day, possibly making them very useful.

You are chasing that golden ticket. The purpose of it is because it's free. At any other point in the game, you'd have to make a judgement call between hoarding Lapis VS chancing it to pull. Right now, you get to pull 14 times for free. If you use multiple devices or emulators/macros, you can pretty much chain pull without delay to chase the ideal starting pulls. Whether that's mind numbingly boring or not is up to the person. If I hadn't started early in the soft launch, I'd prolly be doing it now.

Reason alot of people are hoarding for units like Lightning already is that she, among some of the other future top tier units, will be 5* only pulls, meaning you can only get them in pulls as a 5* pull which is a 1% rate, there is no 3* or 4* version of that unit. So saving for one particular rate up banner is worth it because of that.

Man, the Awakening dailies blow for energy:reward rates. Fights are often 1-2 mobs, usually dropping stuff you'll probably have in spades playing normally, while some drop nothing at all. Basically looking for 6 more crystals to upgrade two more 3* units and I've only gotten 2 in probably 15 attempts so far.

It's np. I only used 10 tickets to get those on my first rolls, where as the other account I pretty much used up all lapis I got and tickets. I already was able to purchase the ticket bundle, right now I have 13 more summon tickets plus I can save all that lapis I blew

That's what I'm thinking. Terra, Bart's and Zidane are all main protagonist i can't think that se won't make them powerful eventually

If you're talking about sacred crystals yes they are a bitch to get. Int vortex is best or the boss fight with chocoeater on 2nd island drops them

Hmm.. so right now I've got:

5* Exdeath
4* Vivi, Fran, Rakshasa,
3* Cecil, Rain, Leo, Edgar, Cyan, Penelo

I know Cecil's worth investing to get to 5* (that'll be a LOOONG way off I'm sure), as well as Leo.

Thoughts on the others? I'm mostly just grinding the exp dungeon when I can.
