rumor is we'll get bonus with older units after the first week. I'm new to FFBE but supposedly that has happened in past events?


I'm really hoping that is true; as my first event there is SO much I need here.


edit: eyyyy RNGesus must have heard me say that, just got my first Nimbus. of course I forgot to switch to my bonus team this time :/

Dimmauk, I would level Rain, then Bartz and CoD. Rain first because he's the best Full Breaker in the game right now, and I personally get a bit of mileage out of Rain and CoD. They're good units to have situationally.

Yuri, don't expect the old type 0 units to get a bonus. Back when we had the ffxiii banner, the first week was(iirc) Snow, Hope, and Vanille. They were the bonus units for the first week. The following week, we got a banner with Lightning, Fang, and Sazh, at which time they were added to the bonus unit pool. So by the end of the event, there were 6 possible bonus units.

They're not giving us a new banner with new bonus units this time, so I doubt they're going to retro the old units to help us.

I'd go with rain and cod to 6 star. Got a question myself. I know Odin should be on my top dps but I feel he's wasted on chizuru cause those added abilities she already get but someone like cod who doesn't might be a better fit for Odin. Atm I have ifrit on chizuru and once I get Odin to 40 I'm gonna put him on cod. Even with those added abilities should I put Odin on chizuru and leave ifrit to cod?

Yeah, the old units aren't getting any bonus for this event. The best we can hope for is an increase in currency drop and/or spawn rates.

At 2star maxed(depending how you spread your skill tree), the attack bonus your unit would get would be: 62 from Odin and 53 from Ifrit.

If you not worried about min/maxing then really just comes down to type of enemies you are fighting. The priority on key Odin skills you should have unlocked would be Dragon killer, Undead killer, Lance, Bladeblitz, and FingerSnap/Sleep Blade.

I've been running the elite version with 4 bonus units, Luneth and Noctis. It's pretty decent, 700-800 for normal runs, 1500 for golden bomb run, and 2,000 or so if Nimbus pops.
