Me personally I would want Orlandu for bonus however I am farming cactuars at the moment and I have enough friends that I'm not hurting on bonus. The raid is much harder than the event so go with helping the raid imo.

I've been saving big gun friends for ifrit and using everyone who's got a bonus for mog king. Sadly alot of ppl on my friend list don't have bonus either so I've been using scrubs that auto populate below friends.

My Friend unit for the event is Orlandeau, but considering keeping Luneth around until I finish my second DW

Since Orlandeau is shit in arena, it's gonna be a big pain in the ass to swap dw/blade mastery and weps from Orlandeau to Chizuru and back every time I swap between arena and events/story mode

Gacha in this game is indeed awful :/ It's really my biggest issue with it, the rest is usually fantastic. I also like the upcoming variety of content but yeah, not pulling shit after all that is a big deal. I guess the EX tickets do something to "fix" this issue but it seems to be "too little, too late".
If only I could pull that awful Soleil now lol, she'd replace Refia as my buffer for extra currency. Currently running with Lawrence+Ovelia and Cid friends. But banner golds have been eluding me since 2.0 ><

Agreed, the gacha is really bad. A pity counter would go a long way to help that (guaranteed rainbow after x number of pulls). I have 50 tickets and there's no way I'm chasing big O. I'll save them for Rikku or other great 4* bases(people say setzer is another good 4* chainer like chiz)

I'm almost done with this event already, it goes so fast when you're fortunate enough to pull banner units. My Firion can solo it so I'm rocking +300%. All I have left to buy is the Kiyomori, 10% moogle, and maybe the greatsword (I have 3 Excal already).

Half price was a Bartz so was kinda glad, then I got a freebie ticket that I decided to use. Bad idea, fucking Lani. Bummed that ifrit dropping down past 20. Gonna be tougher to get those final rewards.

At this point, I just do Ifrit for the free RP instead of caring about the rewards. I suspect others feel similarly as to why his levels are tanking. Arguably, they should've cut the needed points for everything in half.

I hope you get lucky with pulls at least. She comes back but if the Titan Raid's gacha is nerfed again for Global she'll be in a pool with 2 extra units and a shitton of crafting/awakening materials. I'm at 1.300.000 points or so and haven't pulled a rainbow yet :/ Can probably awaken 4 Y'shtolas though lol.

I'm around a mil, haven't seen her, and I've been sitting at 2/3 mats for budding wand forever.

Also, chocos completely dried up on FFT event for me. I saw 4 sets of them that first day. And none since.

I'm at 787k points, but I lucked out and pulled a Y'shtola. I have her at 100 with all of her gear crafted, but I'm still 25% short of her TMR.
