I still don't have any 5* mages. But I also haven't TM'd the letters and arms yet either. Ugh.

edit: the good news is that that's the 5*, it's a time-limited banner, and I won't pull her anyway!

Edit2: ran across a team with 2 vanille and 3 cecil in arena. Interesting combo. I bet that team sucks if you don't have a bunch of ignore-def abilities.

Anyway I don't see any indication that these units are time limited, they usually specify this in the announcements. These are permanent additions.

All I could gather from this dagger is that it is a 4 atk bonus. Sure, you still attack twice, but not being able to equip a better weapon is not very exciting to me.

True, but for players like me who only play a few hours a day and can't TM farm or get moogles (miss too many log-in days to get it each month and use points for gear/cactuars/mats during mog king), its a godsend.

Just batch exchanged 7500 arena medals. And then summoned 120 arena tickets. (sitting on a total of over 500 units).

Maxed TGC at 100 and capped a TON of stats for random characters.

Orlando not maxed ATK and sitting at 929atk on Odin, or 882 on diabolos.

No orlandu for me either. With today's pull and 2 ifrit tickets I snagged another miyuki, snow and Jack. Kinda happy to get snow cause of his tmr. New units look cool. Think war hoop would be a good offhand for cod once I get my 2nd dual wield done? I'd like a rising sun in that spot but I've got more pressing tmr to get through first.

On the producer video that came out, they discussed the new units and they will continue to remain in pool after banner ends.

Also awakening abilities will require new "crysts". Different crysts for each type of ability/magic as well as some abilities are much more expensive(cryst wise) to upgrade then others.

Low and mid tier crysts can be farmed in new vortex dungeon being added and the high tier rare crysts be from events. No mention on gil cost.

Not much else was said about it but seems only a limited amount of units will have abilities unlocked at first, with very least Lightning being confirmed as one of them.

It's great for anyone who doesn't have 4-5 copies of DW/Gilg TM

I'll def be picking it up. Even with +4 attack, it's still double damage

Attacking twice is huge. Also, things like Flasks going off twice, is way useful.

Uh? Having Dual Wield > not having Dual Wield. You don't get to wear your 100+ atk offhand weapon but not only are you completely unable to wear a second weapon when you don't have DW on to begin with, therefor making your offhand 0 atk, you are still getting what is effectively "double" (a bit less) the damage output by echoing every DWable skill. The dagger is incredible for anyone who isn't a hardcore TM farmer and will be a huge DPS boost for them, especially if put to use on a unit like Chizuru for elemental chains.

Hell, how good is that katana anyway considering I still need to get the Genji Blade, have the one from this event (yes, less attack), and Laswell's katana coming up (less attack, but still)?
