It's not a priority, but it's still a good katana. There are only so many katanas in the game. I run one on Luneth, one on Orlandeau, and one on each of my 2 Chizuru and one of them is always stuck w/ an elemental weapon. Need more non ele katanas lol

Well you can only have one Genji blade despite there being a myriad of characters (almost any melee one) that can make use of katanas, so Sakurafubuki is still good to have, just not a priority TM target anymore unless you have the dosh to drop on refreshing.

I'm almost at the point where I can bench Exdeath, but those Letters and Arms doe.....

I blame your Exdeath for my having 4x Letters and Arms, and I'll be damned if I don't want that sword.

Units/event gear don't seem bad at all. Not too excited about farming an exploration though. Here's hoping you don't need to grind the piss outta it to get anywhere with it.

Not much else was said about it but seems only a limited amount of units will have abilities unlocked at first, with very least Lightning being confirmed as one of them.

That's pretty interesting since Lightning wasn't one of the first to get her enhancements in JP. Enhancements are pretty game breaking for some characters, like bumping Ramza up to a +100% all stat singer, giving DPS characters 50%+ extra attack, or just straight changing a character up with powerful passives/additives to current abilities.

They were really pressing the steal angle, and with the new thf having aoe steal and treasure hunter, I imagine thats going to be only tolerable way to grind this.

There's a JP list of ability awakenings but I'm not 100% sure GL will follow the same release schedule nor is it guaranteed that we'll get the exact same buffs. Given that the items are also linked to this upcoming event I think these new units may get them as well.

Still haven't seen any black chocobos but I have seen a few reds. Least I actually got to see the bonus mobs this time, never saw Nimbus and saw maybe one golden bomb

Uh? Having Dual Wield > not having Dual Wield. You don't get to wear your 100+ atk offhand weapon but not only are you completely unable to wear a second weapon when you don't have DW on to begin with, therefor making your offhand 0 atk, you are still getting what is effectively "double" (a bit less) the damage output by echoing every DWable skill. The dagger is incredible for anyone who isn't a hardcore TM farmer and will be a huge DPS boost for them, especially if put to use on a unit like Chizuru for elemental chains.

Just out of my own curiosity now that I have him, but does Greg ever get enhancement for spears? It seems silly to me he is shown wielding one but gets no bonus from them.

Having 50% attack boost when equipped with great sword will be great for Excalibur

His big one is the one that makes his 3-hit attack a 12-hit attack IIRC.

Yeah Tri Attack becomes 12hit and Divider (refuse to use the new name!) becomes a 500-600% normalized potency AoE

Firion gets Human and Undead killers and his Fin Briar, I think, is the highest multiplier and highest ignore defense.

Not by itself it isn't. Enhanced Fin Briar is 230% with 50% ignore (230 * 2 = 460% total potency).

Unenhanced True Shot is 240% with 50% ignore (240 * 2 = 480% total potency).

Enhanced Divider is 200% with 65% ignore (200 * 2.85 = 570%~ total potency).

Enhanced Cut Through (with Advance used the turn prior) is 525% with 50% ignore (525 * 2 = 1050% total potency).




Firion's strength is in his weapon passives and aforementioned killer effects though. He has the advantage of being able to stack that extra killer on top of the ones that other units can get which pushes his ST damage up on most enemies. Not actually sure how he will compare to other combo finishers post-enhancement but he probably remains near the top. Almost positive that Luneth beats him once he gets Enhancements. Olive, pending enhancements, is probably going to shit all over everyone.
