I think I'm gonna keep this Terra account. now I have to decide whether to wait on rate-ups for my favorite units, or roll everything now so I can start grinding XP.

Is Vivi better then shantotto in magic damage? Got both now and unsure if should start grinding Vivi.

I don't know about Vivi, I don't have him but highest nukes I ever see on him in FL are -ra spells. But I know personally 4* Shanttoto does get access to -ga spells.

Vivi does only get -ra spells, but he also gets Dual Cast Black Magic.

From a pure stats perspective, shantotto is a little better. But that double black magic ability is very nice (2x -ra is cheaper and substantially more damage than 1x -ga); it just sucks that you don't get it till capped 4*.

I'd spend a few more and see how the account shapes up, Xiao isn't a bad physical DD but nothing super great, nice TM though. Only time you should consider stopping early is if you pull CoD, Bartz, Vaan, Exdeath, or Cecil. Beyond that, if you're happy with the units (favorite character, fills a niche you want, etc) then roll with it.

Back to the grind you go IMO. D: The game is kind of counter intuitive compared to most gacha pull games. Most of them getting the 5*s is the hard part, and most of them are good. Here, it's just straight getting the unit, whether it's 3 or 5. That'll change on the 8th with Chizuru being our first base 4* unit, and Lightning later being the first base 5* unit.

CoD, Maria, and Rydia are solid. Keep those rolls. Kuja and Luna can be used as standins and Luna has a strong TM. Sabin can be pretty strong too, Shantotto and Kain are meh.

Need farplane dew!!!! Spending hours farming phantom forest and only one I found was stolen from the boss chimera. Sadly it was a friend who had vaan. So now I'm stuck, any tips?

You mean Elemental Tears or Farplane Winds? If the latter, I'd honestly say they're a common enough drop to not focus farm and just proceed with the story. As for Tears, while they are indeed on the rarer side, you do get wisp mobs in later stages that can drop them, too. And if I recall, that quest doesn't immediately block any others.

Tears are easily stolen from Skadi elementals. Best way to get them

Oh nice, I didn't know he got that. I did find out just yesterday actually that Krile also gets Dualcast at 60, as well. (For those who don't know.)

-ga spells seem to be kinda useless right now. My mages don't have the MP to sustain -ga spam Why are the MP values so damn low? lol. A lvl 80 healer doesn't even reach 200 MP in this game.

Tell that to my 230+ MP Roselia Alot of it has to do with the fact we don't have any decent MP+/SPR+ gear.
