I'll likewise do the same and switch my friend unit to my 5* Kefka, unfortunately won't break him to 6* soon, since I have Olive backed up needing the mats to break her to 6*. If I get a setzer or trance terra (lol in my dreams), i'll throw them up instead.

- Got my Second Knife after all. definitely worth it, gave it to Greg. now I have the rest of today to finish farming eggs. I think I'll prioritize radiant eggs because two of those, if you don't have hero rings yet, are going to be a lot bigger boost than either the staff or the cowl. hopefully I can grind enough steel eggs to do a couple pieces of equipment alongside the eggs, but I doubt it.
- story is finally getting decent. just reached the Water Shrine. Dark Fina's appearance was fantastic; she adds some sorely-needed sharp wit and humour to the game. and some of the lines... amazeberries? codswallop (stop walloping those cods, fina!) LOL
- almost done with Colosseum II (int I think?). I am so ready to be finished with ADV so I can start giving some serious attention to the arena. I feel like so few of these colo rewards are worth it... but there are some amazing ones, like Blood Sword, so I guess I'll keep plugging away :/

-Around 4,000,000gil net gain after crafting costs
-4 or 5 ranks worth of rank XP that I probably wouldn't have farmed otherwise

-Dope AoE steal Thief and situationally OP buff stealing unit
-A TM robe with 3% MP refresh per tic for Refia/Y'shtola
-Free Dual Wield from knife
-1 +15%ATK +15%MAG (w/ Heavy Armor) Poison Immunity accessory

I loved this event. I Cact'ed so many potential characters to capped 5*/6* (A few Chiz, Cupid Art/Lena, Merc, Snow, Min, Xioa, and Lassie). 5-10 of every crafted item, bought all the crysts, sitting at 6M gil, and was able to run bears with TM team, so I finished a few TMs. Finally got around to attempting Gilg (I had to go do a lot of stuff I skipped). It was a slow, long fight, but pretty painless. I overestimated my LB damage and missed that reward but I got all the others.

Edit: If a mob is res/immune to the element dark, but I use dark shot to apply -40% Def, will/can it stick? The answer is: Yes, yes it can.

I am from time to time. Currency drops suck ass as usual. Got 202 from elite trying to do achievements. Will see how bad it is once I get my bonus guys up. Bosses look awesome though.

Love the FFVI music, but oof at these drop rates. Going to take a lot of runs to get everything.

200 is the normal for these events isn't it? If not slight higher? I feel like with 4 bonus units, even low ones, that 600 a run won't be too awful.

I wish they wouldn't go so low with them... I miss the day before bonus units...

Yeah, there's the rare encounters with more drops but I don't know how rare it is this time.
