Well saw a decked out Setzer unit in the non-friended Roaming list and tried Kefka again, the unit of course one shotted Kefka and I got me a shiny new trust moogle to throw into my Gilgamesh!..................................Then realized I forgot to use an item to get the 10k fish, motherfucker! lol

Edit: Spent 100 lapis, refreshed, got a Nelapa on a ELT run and got another list refresh with a Setzer equipped with Coral Sword, this time made sure to use an item and one shotted Kefka while getting the fish, now 100% done with this stupid event lol.

Make sure you are checking Setzers for elemental weapons. Whatever they have (Light/Dark/Lightning/Fire/Water/Wind/Stone), as long as Kefka is weak to it(rotates), you have a 40% chance to KO him with Double Dice (55555X59/77777X59 and, in some cases, 5555X59 may kill him for 60% to one-turn-knockout). rikiyame is set with Wind/Fire, 6.4k HP, and Diabolos. Just keep trying. If the wrong element is up, Defend with Setzer (or all).

Just got the stupid robe. Went in with two Setzers, one with lightning weapons and one with non-elemental. Had Cecil, Ysh, Refia and a Marie friend unit. The whole strat was based on getting lucky with Setzer.

I managed to evoke both summons without Marie in previous tries using Prismatic Flash to build meter but I'd get unlucky and he'd one-shot me a few turns later.
This time I got an unlucky dice draw but with Marie I was able to survive till I could do it again.

On another note, you could easily use a Non-elemental Setzer and just use Double dice to do slow and steady damage. I got him to half life on my victory run just doing that.

Think I've got my tm farming setup down. Tried speeding it up and it kept screwing up. As long as we don't get adventurer daily it should run all night. Can't wait for the fish event to be over. Only been doing it now for the daily.

No materia or robe, but at least I got the moogles and the fish. Plus I can say I beat it.

YAY! Event items are nice for progression now, but TMs are usually leaps and bounds above (some exceptions).

Edit: for non-event bonus, I'm debating on Greg, Olive, TGCid, or Noctis. Greg and Cid are pretty strong. Olive is almost there with Sparky. Noctis is 55% evade with 7k HP. My TM group is Olive/Shine/Shera/Chiz/Decil with Chiz/Shine/Shera on rotation for a bit and Yun/??? up next.

BTW, in case anyone has been out for Ruler's Rings, I've done some fantastic (eyeballing) research, and my findings indicate Mysidia Undergroud is now by far the best source for Ice/Dark Megacrysts (Phantom Forest still good for Dark/Lightning), with the occasional Water. Mysidia Tower is awesome for Light/Wind (Lightning). For Fire/Earth, I guess Surging Volcano still trumps the rest, and Fire Shrine is good for all types, if you're not chasing anything specific.

I think I'm gonna try and skip this banner. keyword: try, my willpower is low when it comes to dailies. but there is nothing on it I want; Aileen would be nice and all but she requires another Aileen to really reach her full potential, and I already have my chainers in the Trance Terra Twins. I'm below 10k lapis now and I don't like that :/

For everything non-ice/dark/fire, I'd be just speculating, since I don't really watch for them, considering the absurd amount I already own. Light is the exception, because the sheer amount of drops from Mysidia Tower really stood out to me (I did about 8 runs between clear, quests, and trying to get the stupid esper kill on boss, and saw at least 15 Light Megacrysts, but again, eyeballing; up to 50 in inventory now).

My experience with fire matches the list, at least for Surging Volcano and Westersands; never really farmed the other zones.

Still iffy on Dark, since Phantom Forest can only drop 2 types/3 points vs. 3 types/4 points in Mysidia. Have walked out of forest with 3 darks in one run, and 4 darks in one run in Mysidia. Phantom is less NRG, and much easier (Mysidia boss can be annoying since I go there with TM farm units). Did about 10 runs in Mysidia after lunch today (ranked up), and got 11 darks and 25 Ice plus however many water. Mysidia also drops Gold Ore (whatever), but Phantom Forest has Elemental Tears as a drop from green wisps.

Mysidia Undeground for farming Ice Megacrysts def. blows everything on the list out of the water in drops per run, and back when only Hero's Rings were available, I used to spam Aquatic Cove hard (switched to Fire Shrine after the new rings came out, since I was able to keep up with all the ice I needed while farming Dark/Fire). Underground is the Ice spot for sure.

Decided to go in and try for full clear once more before it ended. Was incredibly fucking agitating but it paid off I guess. Can say I have the robe now.
