I've been spending my daily allotment of NRG on gem chamber. Per reddit, people are averaging a giancryst between 1 per 250NRG and one guy was over 1 per 1000NRG. I had 3 different fights today with a giancryst and 2 heavycryst. So far, I'm averaging 1 per ~135NRG (or a bit over 10% chance per run). I'm running 2 maxed Lockes and 1 maxed Xon. From what I understand, Locke increases the rank of items that drops, while Xon's increases the likelihood of getting drops in the first place; so together they can really drive up rates of good items.

Caveat: small sample size, and yes, confirmation bias, etc. But I just wanted to throw out there that if you have a few lockes/xons laying around, they may help you.

I heard this was debunked for those dungeons, but some other guy had similar results with a Locke and Xon so idk. It definitely won't hurt. Also, I think it's the other way around, Xon increases rank and Locke increases amount.

Xon has Master Thief - Boosts the rate of rare items dropped by enemies.

The bahamut trial was rough. Took me three tries to 5 man it, and kill with Esper at the same time. I fucked up the green magic requirement, I guess Imperil is green magic? I can't think of anything else that could have made me fail

Buffs/debuffs are all Green Magic.

Did a couple tickets, freebie and half price. Only thing good was another griffagrion for tm. Rest is junk. Gonna save my big hitter orlandu friends for elite cause with him that pretty easy. Can one turn pro but not do so well on elite. Like with ifrit I can't use the achievement tab early on for some reason.

I went in with a 5man to fuck around (I did take CoD for omniveil, but no other gear changes really) and killed him. Not even going to bother with the esper kill.
Also did a 10+1. Got he new mage, nothing else of note.

I have TGCid set up with dragon killer and he rapes face. Have at him!

He one-shots my entire team at the beginning with Mega Flare. Not sure there's anything I can do about that.

I'm going to try it again, either today or this weekend. so much going on right now but @theshun I might ask you to put up a friend unit just for a moment to see if that helps. I'll PM you if that's the case, and either way I appreciate the offer. if only my Minfilia was leveled... she's 5* level 1 right now tho :/ Trance Terra does have Maduin Guard but that's only 30% resist. I will find a way to make this work; Greg is at 65% and I want that glove so bad

The idea is to open with focus (Pecil) on first turn and have everyone else defend. If all your units have at least 200 SPR (plus 80 from Focus), they should take 4128 dmg each (so need more hp than that), but Pecil will take 8257.

Anyway, the wiki has a nice dmg calculator which helps immensely with figuring out the numbers you need:

Looks like you need to play defensively for this guy as well, turtling up on SPR wherever possible and just chip away while keeping everyone alive. Marie is desired again, but if you don't have her (like me), CoD will have to do.

Oh god damnit i brought 2 healers like a dipshit even though i literally made 2 DCs for cecil and refia so i wouldnt need 2 healers. Ok i'm gonna bring cecil, refia, firion CoD and a friendu and see how it works out.
