Did an 11 pull this morning. Really want Amelia for Olive but I got 4 golds and none were banner units. I did, however, get another Vanille and Ingus, both of which I was hoping for and need to complete my Fryevia (considering I'll never get gilgamesh to truly complete her). I'm not sure yet but I think with those two I should be able to break 1k magic. Maybe.

At least as the game ages the 4* base units get really crazy good and are just as nice as some 5*.

My one bright spot has been Reberta, really changed the game for me. Still no other 5* base except DKC, not counting Y'shtola.

I will say I've pulled a tremendous amount of golds, but among them have been 7 Hopes and 0 Shines.

RNG gods heard my bitching, after complaining about the sea of blues for a month+ straight, my daily blue evolved to a yellow which became Amelia, which is what I wanted for my Olive

If you got a Camille, you can break 1k, unless you have two Needles then it's not worth. This is the build I'm going, minus the Aqua Blade since it's not in their database yet, which puts you right at the 300% MAG cap with 60% ATK:

On another note, new trial down. Totally did fine until Orth under 30% where it turned into a two hour battle of Noctis just Jumping because everyone died and I got too nervous on gambling pick ups.

I do have two Needles so I'm not considering that sword. Once I finish this Ingus and Vanille that will put me at 3 Letters and Arms and 2 Magistral Crests.

I've read that thread a couple times. My situation makes Aqua Blade worth it, except when I can get a good spark chain but even macroing chains that seems inconsistent because of Nox's performance.

Still shocked about the 5* base pull change before Orlandu banner. That's mindblowing on so many levels.

There was a time when people had legitimate concerns about the game's direction, IE $75 Gold (Diamond? I forget) equipment bundle chest that largely lacked value other than getting a few extra defense over what was capable at the time. Extremely bloated banners early on was a big hit too, though JP had this at the same point in it's lifespan as well. Halloween exclusive units were another iffy point that gave pause about the game's future.

Ever since though, minus a couple of bundles that you'd have to really stretch to call a value, they've been really spot on with exclusives, events, rates, etc. My biggest annoyance is their seemingly random swapping of when Mog King turnin events end. We went something like 10 months with events ending on Friday, then suddenly we've had two in the past couple months disappear on Thursday. That's really annoying, though if it wasn't for my procrastination, it wouldn't be a blip.

Might be me trying to give reason for the overall good nature of the game, but I've seen it said a few places that the game is literally printing money for them. It's big enough that SE's E3 showcase has not only a special announcement allotted for 30 minutes during their show, but they've got a large block of time (starts at 3:45PM PDT with no end time listed) dedicated to showing off Brave Exvius during the show. RK, Mobius, and their other mobile offerings aren't even mentioned. Pretty sure they've hit gold with BE and they're being smart by treating it right.

Events in ffbe arent as boring like lets say ffrk, which is pretty much giving half cost pull banners like mad lol. Mobius is a really cool game but is too much p2w, and best about ffbe is we are getting same treatment like jp version.

I think all 3 have their strong and weak points. All three have gachas and each one has its flaws. What I like about the GL version of FFBE is that it seems they have made attempts to make the real QoL changes happen faster. Plus I'm partial to being able to pull on the banner all the time with the constant flow of tickets, lapis, etc... I always feel like I have to stave off on Mobius and RK which makes me get bored. XD I LOVE PULLING DAILY! (yes I know RK has the daily pull thing but it is not the same)

I've seen you guys mention friend bonus a few times now. What exactly is that? Think I'm going to hold off on the new event until titan raid is over. Don't like it that we get locked into it and can't do anything else unless we give up.

This encourages people to keep their units updated and geared properly and also be active.
It also encourages stronger veteran players to hand out their ID to weaker and newer players who need the help because they will feed you rewards.

I'd like to think BG is pretty good about this. I've been in the 51+ since Titan Raid started and I'm pretty good about keeping a useful unit.

half-price daily pull is god-tier, for sure. and so many tickets... FFBE treats f2p very well, even if the gacha is a little rough at times.

I played FFBE back when it first came out and quit very quickly. there was simply no excuse for a 1% chance to pull a rainbow only for it to potentially be a 3* base. no excuse whatsoever; that was pure predatory bullshit. and then there was the grind... yes, it's grindy now, but not like it was before. Gravity Rod, anyone?

however, I came back after the 5* base pull update and while the game is still fairly grindy and the gacha is still not the best, it is massively more fun these days. I honestly thought when I returned that I would quit again quickly, but FFBE sucked me in this time. I'm really not sure why; it still boils down to playing the same battles over and over with a little bit of strategy here and there for the trials and ELT battles, but I like it just the same. and having gotten so damn lucky with 5* bases it's kind of hard for me to quit now lol.

I also think that f2p need to be VERY careful about their resources right now. I love daily pulls too, but I've been avoiding them recently because if you can save any resources now (tickets and lapis) for when they increase the rate for 5* bases to 3%, you'll get a TON more in return and they're constantly bringing characters back on banners so it's really worth it if you can keep yourself under control. There's probably a few exceptions for this like Rikku and Tilith, but other than that... save save save!

Also removing some old people on my friends list so add me! Currently, a 970 Orlandeau Odin is currently the friend unit as I don't have Stone Killer on my Golem (not my fault! I didn't do it!), but I have a 95% evade Noctis with 100% status ailment immunity too that I'm trying to stat cap soon if anyone is interested in that; it'll be 100% evade too in a week or 2.
