I'm awesome but titan keeps killing me

I was in the exact same boat, and gave up on titan as I really didn't care about the TM moogle and I have a bank of tickets already so not having those two didn't bother me. I said screw it and tried again last night using

Pecil (max LB)
Refia (DC)
Fryevia (needle/ enhancer 970/500)
Ling (80%ish evade)
Sakura (geared for hp)
Freindlandu (don't remember)

Followed What Mina basically said, and cleared it. Sakura made the whole thing a lot easier. Just use her buff then defend. I had her at about 4000 hp and she survived everything. That may have been due to Pecil always covering her which could just be luck. But my Fryevia only had about 4200 and she was never in danger either. Ling just used daunting and map refresh on repeat. Glad I cleared it but constantly getting killed for what appeared to be dumb reasons was annoying as hell

that reminds me, I maxed out Sakura and now I need to give that trial another shot. thinking something like:

- TT
- TT
- Refia
- Y'sh
- Sakura


then again I may just let it go lol. story missions take so much NRG...

I'm saving my 4* ticket for Rikku period. getting one of those other two garbage shit lords ain't worth it.

I don't know what you were feeding that Sakura, but I just tried this using Defensive Barrier and Fryevia's -50% ATK move. Sakura had about 4500 HP and died on the first turn.

Do we ever get 6* awakenings that don't require a boatload of prismatic horns and rainbow blooms? Every single one of my non-fully awakened units is gated behind either sacred crystals or these 2 items. I have divine crystals coming out of my ears. I just looked up Tilith's awakening and more rainbow blooms. Gonna have to farm nothing but these and horns in this event and hopefully get some more 6* awakened like the Setzer I miraculously pulled the day after the banner ended. Slowed my Titan runs down because I am safe in my tier and I know I can't push the next but I am running out of units to dump cactaurs into.

First turn for me was embolden/focus/barrier/daunting. Then she just defended till she had to reapply. Never had to use embolden or focus after that due to Ling feeding Pecil LB every other turn so Refia purely D.C. Curaja and Pecil just provoked, LB, and auto attacked. Always scared the crap out of me that Sakura would die. I again attribute her lack of death to Pecil covering her literally every turn but one when he covered Refia. RNG was with her apparently. I also feel I saw a lot fewer tumults on my win also, which again is RNG.

Pretty sure my luck on that win means I am pulling all Fran and Shadow for the next several months

With Embolden, Focus, Defensive Barrier, and Ice Age up, Titan smacked Sakura for 2500 before he went on to tumult 4 times on his first turn.

I'll put up with a lot being dependant on RNG, but my ability to beat a fight with unique rewards is not one of them.

I think my Pecil was just as sick of doing the fight as I was and finally covered who I wanted him to. But 10+ tries for me and only really getting a 5% moogle out of it...... A lot of wasted energy on an RNG fight that I could have used to TM farm and got more than 5%.

It's not like we won't get him at all even if it doesn't happen next month. Either way, this announcement was stupid as fuck considering we got all that info yesterday. I would've been satisfied just to hear about the Manchester charity bundle; at least that'd be something new.

If my best finishers are Lightning/Greg, is it worth leveling Firion and enhancing him? I think I might do it. I mean, I ain't never pulling Balthier so...


Or I could just level that third Trance Terra instead, but I think Firion would be a better finisher.
