I think calling this an announcement is too generous. It was definitely more about cross promoting all the FF12 stuff between the remaster, exvius, and mobius.

If my best finishers are Lightning/Greg, is it worth leveling Firion and enhancing him? I think I might do it. I mean, I ain't never pulling Balthier so...

See... i don't know how well Greg stacks up but...
Being that Firion can equip 2 champion's belts and the robot knuckles, if you don't have a finisher... he will be your best option. (this is imagining the enhancement realized Firion with all the killers and etc)

Well just looking at the numbers:

Fin Briar enhanced: 2.3x with 50% def ignore = 4.6x.


Snowpetal enhanced: 2x with 65% def ignore = 5.7x


Gilgamesh can pretty easily reach the 300% atk+ cap, while Firion struggles there... but Firion has tons of killers all over the place, and I'd have to math those out to figure out who is truly better.


On first glance though, it does look like Greg is probably still the better capper with enhanced Snowpetal and Weapon Collector. But with the robot trial rewards Firion definitely can hold his own.

Conclusion: All that math pales in the face of the eight billion cactuars I'm going to pull from the Titan machine so fuck it, LEVEL ALL THE CHARACTERS

Keep in mind that this FFXII event is being released before we should be getting the FFXII event. We are very likely getting a delayed X event (which in Japan, came before XII). We will likely get the regularly scheduled XII event, perhaps a bit of a delay so we don't have the T0 effect, as well.

When I first tried out JP I borrowed a Ashe friend unit and it was the dopest thing ever. Since then all I could think about was replicating that magic for others to see. I guess it might not be so impressive to some but it was definitely a "whoa I can't wait for this in GL"

Blew ten tickets today. 8/10 Gold. No on banners. Gumi can pull a DeNa and ninja lower drop rate for Rikku like DeNa did for Ramza's Shout.

Edit: Funny enough, Gumi has done it twice in Brave Frontier.

DeNA didn't lower Shout's pull rate, they lowered the pull rate for the lower tier relics. But I'm sure they're gonna mess with Rikku's banner somehow, maybe add a new 4* unit in there.

Almost forgot to crank up the speed on tmr macro cause of the maintenance tonight. First shine is almost halfway there and 2nd dual cast is a little over 55%. One person on my list has been running some tmr like crazy lately. Did a shine, sazh and is now onto Camille. Kinda wondering how much lapis they've spent.

I mean that could really just be one set finishing. Plus it's pretty cheap to grind out TMRs with lapis now if you're high ranked. Something like 6k and 4-5 days for a full set of 5 0-100%.

Correct. Part of the problem was also that certain trash units were always weighted heavier to appear. Units like Vivi, Shadow, Bedile, Rakshasha etc etc etc. This was done away with back in... *blinks rapidly* ....sometime during the "Noctis era". Like around January. I'm a little lazy on looking up the exact day but it was clear to everyone that the ratios were normalized. I think a lot of us were confident in this normalization after 10-12 days of surprisingly not shit pulls and we all compared our latest units and decided that the rates had indeed normalized.

The banners definitely were shit because of all those fucking bloos. But Lani was also one of those heavy weighted pulls cause she's a shit gold pull. The weighted pulls weren't a surprise to anyone who talked to JP players because this was all the same shit they went through. I can't decide sometimes if gumi is full of incompetent staff that just copy pasta code or if they followed the marketing of JP because if it worked for alim, it'll work for gumi.... maybe both *mumbles*

Ok, soooo...

-Maxwell confirmed returning. Normal mode is the same as before, ELT is a buffed version with new rewards.
-Vernard and Lad Mirazh are back. All of the equipment is 100% worth getting, 98,000 crimson ore total.
-Elza's enhancements are pretty sweet.
-Firion/CoD had their enhancement costs reduced by a pretty good amount by removing a lot of T5s. Unfortunately, awakening Firion makes him better than my only 5*...

This is probably the best Mog King we've ever had.
