Why not just use the refresh from mog event? It's not stellar but there are so many MP batteries out now.

Zargabaath looks like a beast. Potentially a viable alternative (not necessarily full replacement) to Ramza. He has a single target 4 turn +100% to all stats buff, 2 sources of AoE damage mitigation, an all elemental resist+% AoE buff, bunch of status effect resistance AoE buffs, some interesting looking damage abilities, and is tanky as fuck. Wouldn't mind getting him, too bad 5* base.




Alright his numbers are in. He's effectively a versatile support with both offensive and defensive options, a ST benediction that also recovers 50% of the target's mp (wtf), incredible durability, and just happens to be able to cap light chains with a 600% magic attack

Reddit seems to be dismissing him, but I think some people are too focused on turning him into something he's not. They're crying about how he can't do anything well. I'm looking at him as a general buffer (+60% all stats) with additional support (heal/MP recover, damage mitigation, ele/debuff coverage, boosting your finishers or important units with +100% all stats) and being able to cap off a light chain with Word of Law with a Chirijiraden Vernard + 4 L&A for a 600% mod. I wouldn't bother DWing with him unless you've got a Genji Glove. You'll miss out on 20% HP and 50% attack from no light weapon, but I don't think he needs attack. Sacred Strike isn't much of a finisher unless he had more passives for attack and the DW hit means little if it can't fit into the chain anyways, though we don't have any frame data yet to know if that can even be done.

Edit: Derped and was thinking L&A worked with Katana for some reason. Kind of a hard spot then actually if you don't have a Genji Glove. To fit L&A and hit his passives, you need a sword, spear/hammer/katana, and a fire weapon. Using a DW materia means losing 80 magic from a L&A. If you skip the spear/hammer/katana you'd lose 42 magic. With Genji though you'd keep those and only give up 32 magic compared to a 30% accessory. Numbers get goofier with Fry's Needle if you've got it. You'd wanna DW then no matter what, but BiS would be Chirijiraden with it.

With the 4*s at least being useful for TMs if you don't have a use for the units, I'm thinking of throwing in 50~ tickets to see what happens.

Because they're all going on with fucking Ramza and his enhanchments like everyone has one in their pocket or his ability awakenings are even around the corner. You can't get much better than Zargabaath currently in GL, his utility is insane and being a completely new unit we have no clue how he's gonna be buffed eventually. Also given how most trials will barely allow you to slot one DPS, let alone two, his ST 100% stat buff is good enough.

My thoughts exactly, Mal. The dude is extremely versatile, and I'd have no qualms with bringing him over Rikku if the reraise isnt necessary. He isn't going to let you OTKO shit like ramza, but good luck getting ramza if you don't already have him

Once I get my Tidus to 100 (should be in a few mins once I go through Mog Raid Summons), would you all prefer I switch to Tidus for those who have them? Or keep my Sparky 830 ATK Olive? I'm leaning toward Olive since I feel she'd be more helpful, but I felt I should ask in case other BG members are struggling to find more RW Tidus (doubt it but you never know).

Until you get Brotherhood, I suggest equipping Excalibur and chaining with cid. Have had much better results this way myself. Jecht Shot to apply Enwater feels clunky.

I'll probably only do dailies on this banner. I might pull for a single Ashe, I can farm up 3 Letters and Arms for her if I get her, but I already have 2 Zyrus and Seabreeze Dark Fina so I'm not hurting for mages.
