the Cancer of Type-0 has spread to my brothers account... was doing some events on his to catch him up and got a Gold pull that upgraded to Rainbow.

I dont think any of us would disagree with that statement about type 0. Queen was my guaranteed 5* from that anniversary tab. I'm probably going to farm her tmr next or another shine since I've got 4 more to do.

Interesting thing I found out: Excal/Genji does more damage than Genji/Excal. I did numerous five round runs on the training dummy and Excal/Genji was 30k higher than the reverse. Let me know what you guys find.

You'd want Excal going second because it's light-element and the first attack puts light debuff on the mob.

In other news, I had an 8 round fight in the mines with one bug and two bombs. 2024 base.

Both attacks share the element, but your attack is based on the weapon in that hand. I'm on my phone so I'll keep this short but imagine your unit had 100atk base and you dual wield weapons with 50 and 100atk power. The game will tell you you have 250atk but....

Your first attack has 150atk, your second will have 200.

That's why you equip your stronger weapon in the 2nd slot, to take advantage of the imperil with the better weapon

Check for yourself. EXCAL IN THE FRONT HAND DOES MORE DAMAGE THAN GENJI IN FRONT. I think it's because you start at a higher attack and the chain multiplier makes the lesser attack weapon not such an issue. EXCAL MH AND GENJI OH DOES MORE DAMAGE THAN EXCAL IN OH, which is what we previous thought did more damage. I'll do more dummy tests, but I'm confident in saying EXCAL MH and GENJI OH.

Edit: After doing about twenty more rounds, Excal MH/Genj OH averages 25k more damage per round than the previously thought stronger Genj MH/Excal OH. E/G was 678k per round averaged and G/E was 650k.

Doesnt the stronger wep in first slot affect limit break? So for units like noctis you want to do high lb damage?

As I haven't finished octopus teacher (too lazy to shift gear around for it), I'm not likely to do Aigaion any time soon. And I'm fresh out of lapis and tickets until the end of the month, so that's out as well.

What most interests me is that I've finally got some enhancements I'm interested in.

Luneth gets 3 enhancements: one is to Advance, a hefty boost to Cut Through, and a hefty buff to Sword Master, his weapon master passive. First, the weapon passive: currently he gets a 20% boost to swords. With full enhancements he gets a 50% boost to sword/gsword/katana/dagger. By my calculations, with my current best-in-slot setup he's got 911ATK. With a further 100% boost (he'll get +50% each from gsword and katana), that puts him at 1091 total. That's a big number ( currently the largest with dual-wield I believe). Now the real fun: the buff to Cut Through is huge. The first enhancement increases DEF-ignored from 25% to 50% while the second increases the multiplier from 2.5x to 3.5x. Further, if you use Advance first, it increases it to a whopping 5.25x, or 10.5x normalized with the ignore-def. That's... fucking huge. And for those with lots of crysts to spend, you can also enhance Advance twice to give him +100% attack (fully potted this is 180ATK, vs 108ATK without spending 6 support giancrysts and 3 support purecrysts).

The total cost for both sword passive enhancements is next to nothing (suprisingly): 1 giancryst, 0 purecryst.
Cut Through costs a whopping 12 power giancrysts and 4 purecrysts.

The question is: with enhancements should he replace Olive as my chain capper now? Does Luneth have enough staying power to be worth it to pay for these? I just can't get over how much damage he should be able to drop either in turn 1 (7x, ~1100 atk x 2) or turn 2 (10.5x, ~1275ATK x 2). For comparison, Olive's True Shot is 2.4x with 50% def ignored.

I have 5 of him as well... I ended up using 3 of him plus 2 Lockes on a cryst-farming team. I get T3s almost every round, with a T4 about every ~8 runs now.

Wait Lunera gets buffed? isn't that unit broken in JP (with enhanchments that is but still)? Maybe they'll go the Fohlen route...
Also as a Luneth/DKCecil owner I'm super excited :D Hopefully they'll get even more crazy stuff in GL.

SHe's basically one of the 3 big bards (Ramza, Roy, and Lunera) in JP but yeah, she doesn't get great until enhancements because elven song doesn't have stat boosts until then. Will be interesting to see what kind of buffs she is getting.
