Due to how much fusing costs at higher lvls, is the strategy in general to use the gigantaurs on the mains 5 at a time, while using the minis on the 1* trash units to sell for gil?
Also, is there a good list of trash units with good TMs that I should be keeping? I probably don't want to know how many "good" ones I've fused/sold... :/
have farmed around 50 sacred crystals in the last few days, im ready for cactuar dunes
I'm good on Sacred and Holy crystals.
Now for Litrocks and Heaven's Ash. See that I can steal them in Phantom Woods and one other zone (Ash). Now for them Litrocks.
This reddit post has few of the FP TM that are worth getting, I think there is more but I can't remember them right now.
So fought and defeated the new Demon Chimera, he spawns at the same place as White Dragon did. Some notes about him is he is extremely tanky, he is completely immune to fire/lightning/ice attacks, he is also immune to all status ailments except sleep. He also can spam the crap out of aoe fire/lightning/ice attacks which can mean instant wipe if he decides to do two back to back. However at under 50% I didn't see him use those anymore so not sure if its only when he is above 50%, managed to kill him by having Lasswell spam Raging Fists while Bartz/Edgar Auto Attacked and would occasionally throw in a Fina Banish if he only did light DMG the previous round. Roselia managed to keep everyone topped off each round with Cura/Curaja.
Edit: Also he drops Force Armor which is high DEF armor that has resist fire/ice/lighting +10% on it.
Is White Dragon not in the game anymore then? No idea where it spawns xD
Just beat Demon Chimera. Thoughts...
- Tends to favor ice attacks. So a character with Barblizzara is handy. Removing Ifrit might also be a good idea depending on who you have it on.
- Only used its Fire and Lightning AoEs for me once on two attempts. Don't know if it's turn or HP scripted, but like with Ifrit, taking off Espers to minimize this damage could be to your group's benefit.
- If you can field 2 high level people with Cura, there's a good chance you can simply win via endurance.
- Started using a poison breath attack occasionally. Immunity accessory might be nice for someone if you're worried about them.
- If you don't have Full Break, Mental and Power Break is nice to cut down damage, too.
- Not really a mage fight unless you've got a lot of higher tier wind/earth/dark attacks.
- Slap the Muramasa or a Werebuster on your expected DDs, the latter doing extra damage to Beasts.
Rest is just praying to RNGesus if you're not decked out. Feel like people with Cecil/Terra and/or Roselia will have an easier time with this, presuming they've leveled Fina to have 2 Curas, too.
Finally got the 300k-dmg-in-a-turn trophy. Took Magik's exdeath to help out my Kefka. Kefka used his limit break for 90k (plus that resist-down), exd did 130k with LB. Vivi, SoD, Fina, and chizuru made up the difference with various magic attacks. Yay big numbers, and free lapis!
Edit: this was on the boss of the earth temple who is not only lvl 2 or something, but also weak to magic.
People beating the Chimera and I just beat the White Dragon D:
Launch, myself. Just been studious on energy use.
Murdered the chimera with Bartz/Firion/Cecil/Kefka/Fina. Will stick this armor onto Firion i think, cecil doesnt really need it
That feel when I try to log in to play through bluestacks and it just instant closes when it gets to the chocobo loading screen. RIP.
Looks like it will take 38 giant cactaurs to get a unit to level 80 (pattern 4) assuming no 1.5x/2x fuses.
haven't really leaned on any healing yet, so i haven't put anything into my healer characters... options are Fina, Krile and Maria. I'm assuming its a tossup between Fina and Krile.
would Cheer be enough to offset Krile's doublecast?
