Wow, I didn't realize they were so cheap.... o.O Looks like the only item I need to farm is Ice Megacryst once I get the last two trophies.





I wonder what a good cheap exploratory dungeon would be to farm Ice Megacrysts in?

Only thing I've been farming is espers atm. I did Ifrit to 40 in Westersands and Ramuh to 40 in Phantom Forest.

Wolfsfang Peak is the cheapest. It's annoying to have to run around so much for the points, but that's your best bet for it. Keep in mind that you'll want a few to 10 to gear up 6* characters, but once the new trophies and Exceed Ring hits, it'll take on average 30 Hero's Rings to craft a single Exceed Ring. It's worthwhile though, giving +7 Defense/Spirit, +30% HP/MP, and +50% Attack/Defense/Magic/Spirit.

I was looking at that one, but I think I might try Kolobos Marsh instead since I'm going to level Shiva next and it also drops Violet Megacites. It's only 1 more stamina than Wolfsfang Peak. And has 5 collection points instead of 3.

The 5 vs 3 is deceptive, you typically get 5+ items from two of the points on Wolfsfang, where as you seemingly always get three from each point of the Marsh. Definitely more efficient with the Shiva grinding in mind. If you're exping units it also provides a good bit more exp, and I think more rank exp per stamina.

Just did 6 runs of Kolobos Marsh + dailies with login rewards. Only Ice Megacrysts and magicites I got were from Kolobos. I was also getting upwards of 4 drops from some collection points in Kolobos Marsh, and ended up with a total of:

8 Ice Megacrysts
2 Magicite Shards
12 Magicite
5 Violet Magicite
2 Violet Megacite

Now obviously RNG and throw those numbers either up or down on the next run in each category. But doesn't seem too bad under the circumstances of farming for both Shiva and Ice Megacrysts at the same time.

I found Wolfgang and the Marsh to be within the margin of error for each other, so I just bounced back and forth from time to time for variety. However Phantom Forest is the best place for pure esper grinding, and even though it doesn't drop Ice Megacrysts inside I still ended up with around 6-7 (ice megas) as bonus drops at the end. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I have had absolutely horrible luck grinding ice megas in general (wolfsfang mainly, but I've tried other areas). I am currently crafting my 8th hero ring (so 80 ice megas) and I've got 150+ water megas in my inventory. Fire's seem to be easier, and roughly on par with earth (from westersands).

I still have 2 trophies to go before I can make them, so no rush atm. But would like to build up a few Ice since it seems to be the only material I actually still need.

I think my version of the game is fucked.... I'm trying to do the new dungeon. I'm somewhere in the middle and it keeps crashing in the middle of a trash fight. I come back with one mob at like 30%. Kill it. Crash. Reload. Repeat. Kill it. Crash. Reload. Repeat. Etc. It's the never-ending trash battle. Am I officially screwed?

That sucks balls. Maybe try to open it in Nox or something equivalent? Otherwise you may need to try support.

After like 40 crashes I finally got through the dungeon... not going back in again.. fuck that event. Those abilities are SO not worth that headache.

HP+15% is decent; I'll probably get one of those. And I'll probably get one of the burst shot. Stonra blade is beyond useless. I just like having something different to do than grind phantom forest (got 3 megacites the first run through, in addition to a 3*cactuar, a ton of XP, etc).

Elemental Blades are awesome on Vaan in a mage party. Full Break > Focus > Elemental Blade is pretty much static rotation with those. I'm just pissed because I literally just made Stone Blade for him like ONE day before they announced Stonra Blade.

Any idea how to get the chest in the third room at the southeast? Found a path by the hole, but as soon as I get close to the chest, there's something blocking and no amount of trying to find a different part of the path is working. :/

Edit: Found it about a screen over on the part of the wall beneath a torch that wouldn't even make structural sense if you rotated the map. fkn 2d gimmicks.

Not worth pulling for Zidane. He has a lower rate than WoL did, which was a 4 star, and the other units besides Amarant are sub-par or shit. I would wait for the possibility of the 24 hour rate up banner for Zidane that is translated.

I'll do the once-a-day 250lapis pull, but that's it. This banner is fucking horrible. While a "rare" pull without the rate-up has zidane around .5%, at least you aren't going to get 25% vivi and lani bullshit at the same time.
