My pulls for the last few days on the half pull:

5 star Garnet (before you get too hype; I already pulled Lena)
3 Star Amarant (now I have 2; got him on the Zid banner)

From what I've read, if I'm understanding correctly, Xiao is actually pretty good. COD is top tier, of course. But seems like, once I finally level people, I'll have both a good physical team and magic.

For mages, I have..

Exdeath, Kefka, Golbez (..I have like two of him), Vivi, OhohohohohohoTaru

For physical I have..

Leo (yes I know he's 'tank' technically), CoD, Xiao

White make wise, Lenna (needs to hit 5*) and Garnet.

Think I'm set.

I saw the idea floating around Reddit that higher NRG cost runs should award a higher chance to gain TM% so that you can farm while doing other content. Scaling up to 10NRG = 100% chance to gain .1%TM.

I'm personally in love with the idea, even though we all know it'll never ever happen.

Also, Malithar, God speed with all of those units. God speed.

That was my post! I wish they'd do that so much. TMs aren't required by any means, but it'd be nice to not have your TM progress completely derailed by focusing on something else. The entire idea of the system (units trusting you) would make more sense to do harder content. Gaming the system by spamming a weak dungeon for a month is just silly, but it's all we've got for now.

I don't even care at this point. TMs are basically relic weapons to me; content that is highly useful but obtainable only through extreme devotion, thus not really meaningful for most players. The amount of time it takes to earn one naturally - just playing, no Earth Shrine grinding - is in the same ballpark, maybe even more. I'm not complaining; TMs are good content for the hardcore players. But I doubt I'll ever get any of them, and that's fine

Like I said, hoping for the trust moogle farm cause they're what make getting TMs reasonable for non-macro players like me

Yeah, I'd be for some kind of boost to the TM system. Even if it's not energy-based, could be something like times you use abilities/spells/limits/killshots/whatever with that character fueling the process. So, while it's easy to say they're not needed, they can help to make some mediocre characters better.

Everywhere. I'd highly recommend spending about 1200 Lapis, 900 for the premium bundle (so you can sleep/work and have higher material efficency) and two extra item crafting slots. I'd also recommend focusing on explorations for a bit to earn mass materials to start yourself off. After that, you may be able to get enough from TM farming/dailies to keep going at a constant rate.

New month, dumped my gaming allowance in. 12 pulls got me a couple penelo,shadow, vivi, Russell, 2 edgar, 2 Luna, another rydia.... and a Cecil and a Zidane. Phew. Got 4 gold crystals, and of course they were penelo, shadow, Edgar, and russel. Hooray anyway! Now for the TM grind.

I just did a full rum of Maranda Coast and easily had enough mats gathered for 1 premium recipe.

Going to be doing that for this event I think, at least get a good material hoard going and then relax a bit. I'm flying out to Toronto this weekend and won't be able to play much so I need to stock up now.

According to reddit math, if you have 3 crafting spots all constantly synthing, you'll have enough cakes at the end to get everything of value, and a few magicites

The daily rewards are pretty impressive.

I'm giving some serious thought to buying the Splendor chest. I already have $42 in Play Store credit (protip: Google Opinion Rewards) so for 6 bucks more I'd get a heck of a lot. It'd be about 3000 lapis less than buying lapis outright, but that would add 100 energy, 5 summon tickets, 5 keys and 19 star quartz.

Not bad for 8 NRG.

I love Google Opinions, but wtf? Have you hoarded for a whole year? I'm lucky to get ~$1 a week, sometimes going weeks without anything. Remember reading about a way to game it so you get spammed with a bunch of surveys but I had already set up my details by time I read that.

I thought the chest of Desire looked to be a better deal though. Half the cost but you only lose like 40%ish of the Lapis value. Not much to spend Start Quartz on at the moment, but we'll soon have an accessory that gives +20% magic. JP has all sorts of nice things, namely Maneater, +25 magic/spirit & -20% fire/blizz/thunder damage hat, safety bit, and auto refresh. Also TMs for 300 SQs if that tickles your fancy, but seems like a massive waste IMO.

Hehe, I checked my history, around $90 over 2 years. On top of that I also have gotten credits for Chromecasts and other things, too. Never did anything fancy or pulled any tricks. When I was traveling last weekend I got about $5 just declining to write reviews for places.

I'll check out the other bundle.

48 Course Rock Sugar
133 Brown Eggs
289 Lotus Seed paste
336 Fine Flour

I MIGHT need a fourth slot as these things take 8 hours to make....

EDIT: This event is awesome for rank farming too, lol. by the time i have everything I want from the King I'll have jumped a nice amount of ranks lol.

Careful. Turn ins last until the 21st, but the farming ends on the 15th. For 4 craft slots, you'll be looking at enough mats for 72~ crafts (didn't pay attention if it's early AM 21st and too lazy to look), if you're wanting to max out.

You basically get around 100,000-110,000 cakes total from crafting if you dont miss a single one and buy all the stuff. so via crafting alone you can afford the mace, trust moogle, and summon tickets plus the quartz or MP materia(almost)
