Finally beat it. Swapped Lasswell's whore ass out for Exdeath in my melee party and was able to balance my damage enough to get through all three... It was close on the Ogre though. I was actually kind of low on MP when it died. Even using a Tent after the Hill Gigas. 14 Cavernous Ores that run, though. 5-6 more of those and I'll be done lol...

So many Broadswords to craft though. :/

Was planning to just grind Cactuar Dunes to level up Xiao (by the way, she is supposedly good if you're lacking physical attackers) and WoL, and maybe Lenna.

Burned 15 tickets on the banner hoping for WoL or Chizuru and the only good pull I got was CoD; today's 250 pull. . . 4* Chizuru! My tank slot is filled with Leo and I don't have anyone with Full Break but I'm totally stacked on mages.

You'll get probably 10-16 stones each run, so it's really not terribly bad (unless you want more than one).

Decided to throw cactaurs as a 2nd Kefka since Hyperdrive seems to be the only thing I have that really hurts the bosses. :/

Ok, I'm confused. I see alot of people recommending mage teams for Lands of Plenty Pro:

I got wrecked immediately by the first boss, Amoebazoan....and my mage team is leaps better than my melee team.

He resisted everything single element I threw at him, and started Osmose'ing people right at the start leaving them with 0 MP. So how are people doing this with mages at all?

I have no idea why people are suggesting all mage team. Barrage stomps the amoeba, and casting magic seems to trigger osmose.
My preferred team is vaan (full break, focus, cura), lenna, kefka x2, CoD, Chizu. I've got a couple 500+atk chizus on my friend list that I'll take, but otherwise I shoot for the maxed-out kefkas (no TMs needed). People are recommending Kefka due to escape and hyperdrive; I don't see taking all mages though since amoeba has insane MAG/SPR.

Was busy helping a friend move over the weekend, still got 140 ores so far. Event is not bad once you learn the tricks. I'm really not looking forward to burning 1000NRG on earth shrine explorations for all the lumber though.

Not very hard at all. It should take 6-7 runs to get 80 ores. Once you get the hang of it, they only take 15ish min each. Just use Kefka to escape from every random encounter.

Just buy turbo ethers at Felecitas. They are 2k each, but as you should be rolling in gil after the last event (I'm around 2.2mil and I've bought half a mill in pots and other shit working on the item-use trophy) that really shouldn't be a problem.

Splendor is 2nd best non-TM weapon behind Enhancer; I'm going to work on 2 of them.
Xiao isn't horrible, but not top-tier. I'd only use her if you have literally nobody else.

I know they would cost more NRG, but wouldn't the collection points in one of the higher level explorations yield more lumber making one of them better lumber/NRG to farm?

If you look at a pure lumber per NRG ratio, LoP BGN is the best at 1.06 compared to earth shrine at 1.01. The higher LoP gives more Lumber, but not double or triple, respectively.

And I'm looking at it from a time perspective: I can run Shrine Exploration in about 2.5 minutes with my TM team. So it looks like I'll be living there for a while.

And copper really isn't a consideration as you can get it from so many places. Lumber is just a dick though; who the hell wants to run 1st island explorations 300 times.

Do we know if access to lumber opens up at any point in the near future (from JP)? Wondering if just waiting a little while might potentially be the better move.

No mention of it on Reddit, so I assume not (only place I know with lots of both JP and GL players). As it's only on the first island right now, and this sword is a global-exclusive (to my knowledge), I doubt they'd bother adding it anywhere else in JP and/or GL.
