Got my Nox macro set up just perfectly. I finish the dungeon at about the exact same rate as I'm gaining NRG so I'm just constantly staying at the same RNG, so the only blunder factor is when my mats get full.

after pouring my soul into the Mogcake event, this event is really poorly timed for me, I'm completely burned out on the repetitive nature of running a dungeon, especially dungeons with trash mobs I can't Auto-Attack through with any sort of speed.

Also these bosses are somethign else... my 558 Attack Chiziru friend is doing like 1.8k/hit with his barrage... he's the most insane dude i've run across, so much Trust items, dual wielding trust 91 dmg katanas, trust head armor... He's pimped out to the max and that character barely scratches these guys.

I mean I can clear it NP but its all so grindy and slow.

bleh, I've got enough Cavern Ore for a single sword, thats all I'm doing.

Found out Fencer's dark resist buff will help mitigate Osmose some. Not enough to make it a non-threat, but it maybe only drains 70% of someone's MP pool if the boss decides it wanna use it. Saves slightly on ethers. Not sure why people feel the fodder is threatening, though. Yeah, they come in big packs, but none hit exceptionally hard. Like others, though, I've been using Locke to skip them sans the smaller packs to build LBs.

Not sure where I read it (may have been in this thread) but the Amoeba only spams Osmose when you use magic against it. If you use Melee/Limitbreaks/Special Attacks, it'll only use basic melee and Drain. The bosses got a lot easier to deal with once I figured that out and with a fairly non-max stat mage team, I can beat them all without a Tent. WoL is especially useful as Full Break, his self heal and Golem's Provoke can keep the Amoeba busy the entire fight with almost no support from other units, leaving them free to attack.

To add to that, casting cure will trigger Osmose as well. As for the 2nd and 3rd boss, while I didn't do it, apparently chaining magic just melts it.

I'll probably pull quite a few times during the lightning banner. Not really for the small chance at her, but because I still have a few base units I'm missing (Zidane, a full-breaker, Locke, a 2nd good mage). If I get lucky that's just a bonus.

There's going to be a heck of a lot to spend energy on.

Going to be a busy weekend. I'm after a few Ludmilles for DC, wouldn't mind a Charlotte, and will have much salt over a shadow-rainbow-crystal. At this point it's just comical. I got a rainbow chizu first week, haven't seen another rainbow; every gold crystal has been 4* max. Then the new content, diabolos, the rank XP new grindspot, new trial (with a bow I have no characters for). Fun times.

This is quite true. No magic, no osmose. Only thing to contend with is drain and the pathetic physical attacks.

I got 240+ ores (way more than I'll have the patience to farm lumber for I think); runs take ~12 min each. My team consists of Vaan (full break/focus), Lenna (cheer), Kefka (hyper/escape), and Chizu/CoD (Barrage). I'll take either any maxed Kefka/Chizu that pops up. Cheer/focus/fullbreak makes short work of all 3 bosses. Having a 500+ Chizu or 370+ kefka just makes life easy at that point.

Can Lightning equip Barrage? I did pull a luna the other day. Though it'll take forever to get her trust mastery up lol

Most of the 6* get specialty skills that are on par with barrage. For instance, she gets Crushing Blow which does 2.7x and decreases lightning resistance 30%. And that's guaranteed to single-target. Barrage is random targets which is potentially not useful when focusing down a single target in a group.

Also, plan on never getting a 5* base. It's just easier that way. While some jackass will inevitably get lightning from the 1/2 off daily, it won't be you, or me.

Zidane is at 99% and I'm out of nrg. Trying very hard to resist the temptation to refresh.

To expand on what Coren said, Crushing Blow will also chain way way better than barrage.

JP somewhat recently got an update where if you get a gold/rainbow crystal, it's guaranteed to be 4* or 5* base, respectively. That makes a huge difference in pulls. But I'm sure we are months away from that, and they have $$$ to be made from the whales in the meantime.

I thought that was already the case, all of the gold/rainbows I've had were at any rate. Yesterday or the day before was an awesome gold crystal 4* cyan! Like my 5th cyan, and pretty sure multiple 4*s. /sad

We are still probably 6 months away from that change, unless people start quitting in droves after dropping hundreds on 5* and not getting lightning/tgcid/tidus/etc.

I have enough lapis for dailies, and a 10+1 on the last day. It should be realistic to expect 1-2 each of the common units, and ~7% chance at Lightning on the +1. I won't buy any more lapis this month though. So after that, I'm just hoping I can keep enough in the bank to continue the dailies.
