Part of me wants to farm for tickets, but eh, I've no illusions of pulling anything spectacular

For the cost, I can't recommend enough to always get tickets. Passing them up is near silliness. Even if your roster is fine now, there'll come a time when you'll want characters and any extra chance gives you that edge. Going forward though, generally speaking, new 3*'s use will be in their TMs. 4 and 5*s that are 6* capable is where we'll be at in the next couple of months. Still doesn't mean you should skip tickets though.

Burned all tickets, all my dailies, some extra lapis. Got 1 mustadio, 1 alma, and a giant pile of horrible bullshit to show for it. 2 gold dailies back to back, one Dwayne and today's was a gold Penelo. Haven't had any useful units in forever, much less something desireable from the banners. I guess I shouldn't bitch as my main teams are pretty solid. But it's a real downer to put in all that work to get 10 summon tickets just to get literally nothing beyond another few vivis/kains to merge for firaga/gungnir.

Decided to go back on working on a few more Hero Rings. I'm going to assume between Maranda Coast and Junkyard(?) Exploration are the best for farming those right?

Coast is good for Ice. Was using Desert for Fire. Lower stamina cost and fairly fast to run. I think most agree the added node spots don't technically mean more drops, just that they spread them out more. Assuming you get 1 cryst per run, it'd be about 210 stamina per hero ring. I've had some desert runs shit 4 fire at me, though.

I'm spamming the advanced event for megacites and megacrysts. I've added 5 or so hero rings in the last week. I also capped all espers at lvl 40, plus I have enough to get Carby to lvl 40 as well (~150 white megas or equivalent in other colors). Plus the rank XP; I'm getting a rank every other day (just hit lvl 61).

Assuming it's going to be awhile since they don't have them in JP yet either... but then again they also don't have ADV colosseum either, which we already received. So yeah, your guess is as good as mine.

Anyway I'm reading that we might be getting the XIII event next and Thundaga or Firaga chains will melt even higher difficulties. Guess it's time for Tellah to shine.

Is there some correlation for the XIII event and whether thundaga/firaga chains "melt" things at higher difficulty? At the moment, I don't "melt" anything. The trash rounds are way harder than the boss rounds. I swap around using a full mage, full physical, and balanced party depending on what I'm fighting. I usually use all mage. It now takes 3 rounds to kill everything (I use 3 kefkas with 399MAG, 318MAG, 298MAG, and tellah has 303MAG). Vaan uses an icebrand to kick off a higher chain on at least one monster.

I can oneshot every round in Elite on the current event with a full mage team by chaining Blizzagas and I don't have a 399 MAG Kefka. I only had issues with the final boss wave but I've upgraded a few characters since then.

Ohhhh you are talking about the event itself; yes, ELT orbonne monastery can be 1shotted by a bunch of blizzagas. I'm talking about colosseum ADV. The trash mobs have insane stats. And I just got curbstomped by the hellrider on S-2. Don't bother taking a mage team there. He is full resist on all breaks and hits like a truck. I wish my barrage was ready; I haven't done TM grind since they broke Nox. I'm hoping they fix it this thursday.

Lol yeah, ADV is no joke. Tried a mage team on one of the bosses to exploit its thunder weakness and it didn't go well.

Yeah, I can see that. I was just feeling burned out by the event a bit and looks like at most I might manage the katana and shield.

Might be able to squeeze out a few tickets. Just didn't want to fall into the Brave Frontier trap.

I'm grabbing a couple more tickets than I thought I would (I wasn't planning on getting the most expensive tier this time) purely because of the godly rank XP involved.

Took out hellrider on try number 2. My backup chizuru was the only unit left, with 800hp. He is resistant to most status effects as well as all breaks, and has extremely high DEF and SPR. He 1shotted all my mages the first time around. This time I brought just Kefka Prime, 3 barragers, plus Lenna. All of them had a +% HP materia. Lenna used Cheer, and prompty got one-shotted. Used barrage/hyperdrive on repeat until he died, basically. Phew.

Yeah, I only just cleared ADV-C, but I feel like they intended these arena fights for 6* parties. Ogre gave me the most grief thus far.

With a (good) 5* party, ADV-B started to get rough; ADV-A I had to really start micromanaging and stacking status effects, ADV-S (round 2 atm) is extremely slow going. I'll be honest, sometimes I'm not up for it mentally and I just go spam BGN-C1 for a bit.
